There has been a lot of tension in the room since the doctor left. All the anger we had towards each other just disappeared. My mom turned to me and said
" I hope you know honey no matter what this is we will be with you every step of the way"
" I know."
I just need her to know....
" I love you guys I do..... And I trust you. I'm sorry for everything I've done to make you guys mad"
" we love you too. It's ok we forgive you. We are sorry we have been hard on you"
And with that the doctor entered the room. My heart was beating so quickly I think I might have a heart attack. I'm so scared.
The doctor started slowly " I'm sorry............. I don't know how this happened....... The tests.... They are positive for Zinc chloride smoke inhalation .......which is a rare cause of a severe acute respiratory distress syndrome. But where would you get them zinc.... From what I heard the only thing in that house that had zinc in it was sunblock.!
And then it all came back to me.... I didn't want the rays of the fire to ruin my tan...... ( I was REALLY drunk) so I put sunscreen on... then I realized I needed to get rid of the bottle so my mom wouldn't get mad at me for using all the sunscreen......
As I explained... I thought the story would be funny to my parents.... They were to focused on what the doctor just said......
