Caitlin stood by the expansive window, her gaze drifting over the shimmering lights of Central City. For a moment, she was lost in her thoughts, a soft sigh escaping her lips. Behind her, Barry leaned casually against the doorframe, a fond smile playing on his lips as he watched her.

"Hey, Cait," Barry called out, breaking the quiet.

Startled, Caitlin turned quickly, her hand flying to her chest. "Bartholomew, you scared me," she said with a small laugh, her tone a mix of surprise and affection as she walked toward him.

Barry chuckled, stepping closer to her. "My apologies, Dr. Snow," he teased, his voice light and playful.

Caitlin rolled her eyes, though a smile tugged at her lips. "What's this about, Barry?"

His expression softened, a hint of wistfulness in his eyes. "I'm just going to miss a certain genius scientist. I heard she's off to Starling City to meet up with another equally awesome, talented scientist."

He reached her then, wrapping his arms around her waist and resting his head on her shoulder. Caitlin looked up at him, a playful frown creasing her brow.

"Another genius scientist?" she repeated, pretending to be offended as she lightly smacked his arm.

"Ouch!" Barry yelped, stepping back in mock surprise as he rubbed his arm.

Before they could say more, Cisco sauntered into the room, a mischievous grin on his face. "Well, if it isn't the lovebirds. One's flying the nest for a while, and the other one's going to be pining away."

"Cisco!" Barry huffed, pouting as he continued to rub his arm.

Caitlin shot Cisco a mock glare as she moved over to the sofa, where her bags were packed and ready to go. "Stop with the teasing, Cisco."

Cisco raised his hands in mock surrender. "Well, someone's grumpy today."

Caitlin giggled as she zipped up her briefcase. "You can be a little over-annoying sometimes, but we appreciate you."

"Yeah, it wouldn't be 'Team Flash' without a Vibe, now would it?" Barry added, tilting his head as he watched Caitlin gather her things.

"It's so weird that you're going to that conference without us—your two wingmen," Barry sighed, a note of reluctance in his voice.

Caitlin chuckled, shaking her head. "It's a girls' weekend away. Felicity and I need some time away from our lovable superhero boyfriends."

"Wait—me and Ollie aren't boyfrie—wait... oh..." Barry trailed off, a confused expression crossing his face.

"A-ha!" Cisco pointed at Barry triumphantly.

"See?" Caitlin said in a mockingly silly voice. "He just proved my point. The lovable, dumb, handsome dork has returned."

"Wait, she can't go without a group hug," Cisco suddenly declared, stepping closer. "Come on, Barry... and I know you want some more alone time." He teased the pair, his grin widening.

"Woah, okay... fine...," Barry said, rolling his eyes but smiling as he pulled Caitlin and Cisco in for a group hug.

"Guys, you're squashing me," Caitlin's muffled voice came from the middle of the embrace.

The three friends laughed, the warmth and closeness of the moment a comforting reminder of their bond. Despite the teasing, they all knew how much they'd miss each other.
