“Wells,” Barry murmurs, reluctantly slipping his hand away from Caitlin’s waist.

Caitlin looks at him, brows furrowed in mild confusion, but before she can say anything, Dr. Wells raises an eyebrow. “So, Dr. Snow, off to conquer ‘Starlight City,’ are we?” He adds air quotes, the sarcasm thick in his tone.

“Something like that, yeah.” Caitlin discreetly takes Barry’s hand and guides it back to her waist, giving him a soft smile.

“‘Famous,’ huh?” Barry asks, his fingers gently brushing along her side.

“Yes, Bartholomew, ‘famous,’” she replies with a smirk, mirroring his tone and adding her own air quotes.

“It’s only where the best scientists go to make their mark,” Cisco chimes in, swaggering into the room with exaggerated pride.

“Hello, Francisco,” Caitlin teases.

“Whoa, Catherine... what’s with all the full names today?” Barry laughs, pulling her a little closer by the waist.

“I don’t know, just testing out how professional I can be,” she giggles, leaning into him.

“My Dr. Snow…” Barry whispers, leaning in until their noses nearly touch.

“Ahem,” Wells clears his throat, folding his arms impatiently.

“Yeah, in case you two forgot, there are still other people in the room,” Cisco adds with a grin.

Barry playfully stomps his foot like a child. “Go away!”

“Scram,” Caitlin echoes, shooing them off.

Cisco and Wells exchange mock-offended glances as they slowly back away, dramatically mimicking the couple.

“Finally,” Barry sighs as they leave, a smirk tugging at his lips.

He leans down, catching Caitlin’s lips in a kiss. She laughs against him, then pulls back to glance at the clock. “Speedster, I hate to break it to you, but I’m going to miss my train if you keep this up.”

Barry chuckles. “You know, it’s always faster on the Barry Express.”

Caitlin tilts her head, amused. “Is that so?” She reaches up, pressing a quick kiss to his lips.

“Three weeks, then…” She gently taps his nose, grinning. “I’m all yours.”

“Gosh, you’re adorable,” he teases, his eyes softening as he watches her.

“Just doing my job,” she replies, slipping her hands from his with a reluctant smile.

“As my brilliant, amazing scientist girlfriend?” Barry grins.

“Girlfriend?” Caitlin raises an eyebrow, a smirk playing at her lips.

She takes a small step back, grabbing her bags. “Okay, seriously now, I have to go.”

Barry brushes his fingers over the backs of her hands, squeezing gently. “You know, tomorrow I could just speed you there myself.”

She pauses, considering, a mischievous glint in her eyes. “You could... should we?”

His smile widens as he twirls her around. “We could stay at my place tonight. I’ll make my famous scrambled eggs in the morning.”

“Tempting…” Caitlin murmurs, pressing herself against his chest, eyes full of affection.

“Or,” he offers, “ping me when you get there, and I’ll come over. Could spend the night with you in Starling City.”

She laughs, giving him a final kiss. “You’re full of good ideas, aren’t you?”

He grins. “Only for you.”
