I can't believe this.
I kissed her.
I actually fucking kissed her.
I stare into the beautiful brown eyes of the girl that I just kissed. In the dark, I can't tell but I know there is a slight golden rim around her pupils. She looks at me with so much hope. I move my hand to caress her cheek softly. This girl is going to be the death of me.
I watch as she shivers in her tank top. "Here,"
I say taking my hoodie off and placing it over her head. The neck gets on her head. She starts to laugh. I lied. That laugh is going to be the death of me. The two of us struggle to get the hoodie over her head. When she finally pops up, she smiles and me, and I think my heart melts.
"What?" She asks, looking concerned.
"You."
"What about me?"
I smile, "You're adorable."
She pushes my chest. "I hate you."
I gasp, "How dare you?"
"How dare I?" She laughs, "How dare you?" She points her finger in my face. She's clearly trying to hide the blush in her cheeks.
I laugh at the display, "What did I do?"
"You," she pauses, "You know what you did."
"Do I?" I look at her frowning expression. She's so cute when she's mad. I just want to tease her and make her cheeks red all the time. I never want her to stop looking at me like this. "I don't think I do."
She scoffs at me, "Yeah, sure you don't."
I watch as she reaches down to pick up a large pile of sand and throw it towards me, "Hey!" I stand up and kick a some sand towards her.
"What the heck?" She jumps up too. She runs towards me pushing me towards the ocean.
I run away from her to pick up more sand to throw at her. When I reach down, I feel the familiar feeling of wet sand in my hand. I immediately drop it back to where I got it. At the same time, Juillet runs towards me and tackles me to the ground. "Yes!" She jumps up in glory, "I win!"
"You don't win," I say standing up.
She smiles shyly at me, "Of course I do."
"How so?" I ask, moving closer to her, and grabbing her hands.
"Because," she pauses, "you have sand all over you, and I'm perfectly clean."
"Oh are you?" I ask, already having a plan in my mind of what to do next.
I grab a bunch of sand and hold it in my hands. "Colby...no," Juillet slowly backs away before taking off running.
Quickly following behind her, I eventually catch up to her, and dump the sand on her head. "Ugh," she says when I'm done, "No I have to take a shower."
"Or," I say glancing out towards the sea sitting next to us, "You could wash it off in there."
She stares at me for a second like I'm she thinks I'm an idiot, "Cole, I'd still have to take a shower then."
"Pshhh," I wave a hand towards her face, "Potato, po-tah-to. If you still have to take a shower then you might as well go for a swim."
She laughs at me.
She laughs at me.
"What? What's so funny?" I cross my arms over my chest.
She looks up at me through her lashes, "That's not how you use that expression."
