Battle Theme:
Appearance: Vex is a tall, imposing figure with a sleek, modern aesthetic. He wears a sharp, dark purple and gray pinstripe suit with a high collar and metallic accents. His skin has a pale, almost ghostly hue, and his eyes glow with an eerie, electric blueish-purple light. His most distinctive feature is his face, which is covered by a high-tech, holographic screen that can display various images and symbols, and it appears to be often shifting to reflect his emotions or intentions.
Personality: Vex is cunning, manipulative, and highly intelligent. He thrives on chaos and enjoys using his technological prowess to control and influence others. Despite his villainous nature, he has a charismatic charm that makes him a persuasive leader. He is fiercely loyal to Ruby and sees her as a kindred spirit in their quest to reshape the world. Vex is also known for his dark sense of humor and his ability to remain calm and collected under pressure. He is also highly resentful of the Atlas military, especially Winter Schnee, due to his past and views them as abusing their position of powers. He also finds the Huntsmen and Huntresses to be a relic of a dying era that needs to be replaced. He uses his abilities to support Ruby's goals, providing her with technological advantages and strategic insights. His mastery over technology makes him an invaluable asset in their quest to reshape the world, and his charismatic yet sinister demeanor ensures that he remains a formidable and unpredictable ally.
Abilities:
Technomancy: Vex can manipulate and control technology with ease. He can hack into systems, disable security measures, and even control robotic entities.Holographic Projections: His head can project holograms, allowing him to create illusions, communicate over long distances, and display information.
Hacking Mastery: Vex can effortlessly hack into any electronic system, bypassing firewalls and security protocols with ease. This makes him a formidable opponent in any environment where technology is present.
Device Control: He can take control of electronic devices, from simple gadgets to complex machinery. This includes remotely operating vehicles, weaponry, and even robotic entities.
Enhanced Intelligence: His mind operates at a superhuman level, enabling him to process information rapidly, strategize effectively, and outthink his opponents.
Semblance: On The Air
Description: Vex's Semblance, called "On The Air", allows him to generate and manipulate electrical energy in a unique and unpredictable manner. This electricity has a "glitchy" quality, causing it to flicker and distort, making it difficult for opponents to predict and counter his attacks. The glitchy nature of his electricity also allows him to interfere with electronic devices and create disorienting effects.
Abilities:
Unpredictable Attacks: Vex can unleash bolts of glitchy electricity that flicker and change direction unpredictably, making them hard to dodge or block. These bolts can cause severe electrical burns and disrupt the nervous system of his targets.
Electronic Interference: His glitchy electricity can interfere with electronic devices, causing them to malfunction or shut down entirely. This ability is particularly useful for disabling security systems, hacking into computers, and disrupting enemy communications.
Energy Manipulation: Vex can channel his glitchy electricity into his physical attacks, enhancing his strikes with electrical energy. This allows him to deliver powerful, electrified punches and kicks that can incapacitate his foes.
Disorienting Effects: The glitchy nature of his electricity can create disorienting visual and auditory effects, such as flickering lights and distorted sounds. These effects can confuse and disorient his opponents, giving Vex a tactical advantage in battle.
Electromagnetic Fields: Vex can generate electromagnetic fields that can repel or attract metallic objects, create force fields, and even levitate small objects. These fields can also be used to shield himself from incoming attacks.
Limitations:
Aura Drain: Using his Semblance extensively drains his Aura, limiting the duration and intensity of his abilities.Physical Vulnerability: While his control over technology is immense, Vex's physical body is not enhanced by his Semblance, making him vulnerable to direct physical attacks.
Dependence on Technology: Vex's abilities are most effective in environments rich with technology. In areas devoid of electronic devices, his capabilities are significantly reduced.
Background: Ohm Vex was a famous news broadcaster at Atlas before he was kicked out, due to the country denying how he had ideas to improve Atlas technology and their public image, thinking it was a bit too much. Still, General Ironwood wouldn't hear any of it, finding his ideas too dangerous, so Vex took as many of Atlas Tech he could and had it stored in a hidden safe house where Ohm kept it as a nest egg, before the fall of Atlas began with him being sealed into a tech prison with Watts, even though the two never met, before he was able to get out when Watts died. Still, Vex was only strong enough to enter the nearest piece of tech, that being Nora's scroll, and was able to also hijack into Amity Tower and reveal more of the truth about Ozma to the world while RWBYJ were in the EA, before he was forcibly kicked out, but managed to create a mechanical android body and working as a reporter exposing more flaws.
That is until he was approached by the surprise-resurfaced Ruby Rose, who realized she could use a spy on the inside for Ruby to gather information and get many fans on her side. Someone to help with her public image and how to sway the audience, and who better than a former hunter/news reporter who speaks and reveals the truth while also being an excellent spy for her in the city where he can also give Ruby their weaknesses and strengths? Wanting to support Ruby's dream and make both Ironwood and Winter pay for pulling the plug on him since he spoke the truth and exposed wannabe Hunters and Huntresses and figured out who Ozpin was, he decides to work for her as her intel export and "industrial saboteur."
