The band’s practice space was a mess of musical equipment and scattered papers, the aftermath of another intense rehearsal. Kane, Drew, Jax, and Ryan were lounging around, taking a break and catching up on each other’s lives.Drew leaned back against a stack of amplifiers, glancing at Kane. “So, how’s things going with ‘Jealous Mia’? I saw her at the last concert—she’s got quite the protective streak.”
Kane chuckled, stretching his legs out on the couch. “Yeah, she’s definitely living up to the nickname. She keeps a close eye on me, especially with those fan clips going around. It’s part of what I like about her though; she’s passionate.”
Jax, sitting on a drum stool, grinned. “Lexi’s been her usual ‘Artistic Soul’ self. We went to an art gallery last weekend, and she’s already planning our next creative outing. It’s like living with a walking, talking art exhibit.”
Ryan, leaning against the wall, nodded. “Ava’s been holding strong as ‘The Ice Queen.’ She’s got this cool, collected exterior, but I’ve seen glimpses of her passionate side. It’s like she’s got a secret fire that only I get to see.”
Drew raised an eyebrow. “And how’s ‘The Boss Lady’? Harper’s got a way of running the show. I swear, she’s got this whole project management thing down to an art form.”
Kane laughed. “Harper’s definitely earned that nickname. She’s organized, decisive, and always planning something. Keeps me on my toes, that’s for sure.”
Jax nodded thoughtfully. “It sounds like we’ve all got these nicknames for our girls that capture their essence. It’s kind of funny how we use them behind their backs, but it’s really just our way of showing affection.”
Ryan smiled, taking a swig from his water bottle. “Exactly. It’s not just about the nicknames themselves, but what they represent. Each one reflects something we love about them.”
Drew glanced around at his bandmates. “Well, here’s to our ‘Jealous Mia,’ ‘Artistic Soul,’ ‘The Ice Queen,’ and ‘The Boss Lady.’ They might not know the nicknames, but they’re a big part of what makes our lives interesting.”
Kane raised his bottle in agreement. “To our amazing girlfriends and the quirks that make them special.”
The band members clinked their bottles together in a toast, sharing a moment of camaraderie. The nicknames, though used in private, were a testament to the unique qualities they cherished in their partners. Despite the playful teasing, the affection and respect they had for their girlfriends were evident.
