Small continuation of Chapter One...
*THE NEXT DAY*
(Aura wakes up and finds herself on the floor next to the bed her sister was placed in.)
Aura: Where am I?
(She remembers what happened the other night.)
Aura: Oh... yeah.
(She checks to see if Natsuki is alright and tries waking her up.)
Aura: Please don't be dead. Wake up sleepy head.
Natsuki: Just f-five more m-minutes...
(Natsuki wakes up immediately remembering what had happened.)
Natsuki: MOM, DAD?!?
(She looks around the room and sees Aura next to her.)
(She sees her sad face.)
Aura: They're gone...
Natsuki: No...! They can't be...!
(She tries getting up but ends up stumbling due to her wounds.)
(Aura catches her.)
Aura: No, don't get up. You're still hurt.
(The young man from yesterday comes into the room after hearing screams.)
???: Is everything alright...?
(They forgot about him for a minute.)
Natsuki: Who are you??
Aura: He's the guy who saved you yesterday. I don't know what his name is, I had fallen asleep immediately.
???: My name is Sam. Sam Sander. It's nice to meet both of you. I'm sorry for what happened yesterday.
(Natsuki noticed his eyes.)
Natsuki: Why do you have blackened eyes with small white pupils?
Sam: I'm a Bone Mage. We have weird looking eyes, I know.
Natsuki: No, it's okay. I like them. They're not weird.
Sam: Heh, thanks pal.
(Aura has a weird tone in her voice and begins to get angry.)
Aura: Mage...?
Natsuki: What's wrong?
Aura: We had a Mage on the island the entire time and you decided to show up yesterday?!? You could've saved us!!! My family is dead because you didn't show up!!!
Sam: Woah there, calm down.
Aura: Calm down?!? How are me and her supposed to live without our parents?!?
(Natsuki tries to calm her sister.)
Natsuki: It's okay Aura, maybe he wasn't here at the time the soldiers had arrived.
Aura: That's bullshit, he had to of been there. I bet he watched all of it.
Sam: Please calm down. She's right, I wasn't on the island at the time. I had taken a Shortcut to another island to buy a few things. When I came back, everything was destroyed and on fire. Trust me, if I were there at the time, your village would have been just fine.
Aura: Buy a few things? You could've done that in our village. Or were we too poor for you? Look at you, dressed in your nice clothes, while we wear these disgusting rags.
Natsuki: I've never seen you so worked up. What's wrong with you?
Aura: Why are you not angry? Our parents and the other villagers could've been saved.
