Jerry's perspective
I never was a smart person, at least that's what everyone around me has told me. Now my brother Tom was the complete opposite of me. He used to be a total computer geek, always coding or hacking.
We did have one thing in common though, Tom and I constantly got in trouble with the law, and parole officers were very common in our lives. Everyone, and I mean everyone looked down on us, from teachers to students, even our very own parents.
Once we both decided to drop out of high school at seventeen, our parents didn't like that. They shipped both of our asses to the military right away. Over the next three years, we both despised serving in the military. Waking up at 4:30 AM to a drill sergeant yelling in my ear, for daily pushups every day, is not a lot of fun.
Even though I was serving my country then, a part of me still wanted to do crime. I could tell Tom also thought the same way, once he told me about some pretty shady arms dealers. They were willing to sell high-grade military weapons for a price, of course hacking US banks was an ease for Tom so that wasn't a problem. One night Tom and I finally got to go home because of an emergency.
Unfortunately, my brother and I went home to attend a funeral. Our mother died after being drunk on the road, later killed by truck-kun. Turns out she learned our bastard of a father cheated on her that night. We never went home after that and didn't even bother returning to the military.
One night Tom and I were robbing some punks in an alleyway, with our old delinquent friends back in Chicago. Pointing an RPG at someone has to be the easiest way to get money. A few seconds later, we see this goofy ass dude run and slam himself on the ground, while crying. And this is how Tom and I met our boss, Kai.
The Black Lotus didn't get big until Kai came up with a plan to get more military first-grade weapons. With a little persuasion, hacking, and some shootouts, we did it. We were unstoppable, my fighting skills, Tom's hacking, and with Boss's shooting skills we had everything. And the boss was like a really good shooter. I'm talking about hitting 360 no scopes every single mission.
Tom and I used to be hated by everyone but I felt like we had finally found a place we could call home. This is why I was so hurt by what happened on that dreadful night. I was broken by what Kai not only did to me and my brother but what he did to the Black Lotus.
"I'm telling you, Tom, tomorrow is the day we spin the block on those fools," I say to Tom while he nods his head in agreement.
Tom responds, " I agree with our numbers I expect a calculated victory on our end. I'm glad you already got the boys ready for tomorrow."
"True that, Boss is taking forever though. I thought Kai only had one thing to get from the store," I respond while shaking my head.
Tom starts laughing and then says, "Yeah I feel you, anyway I'll catch you later I'm going to bed goodnight."
"Alright goodnight," I respond as he walks out of my room.
I sigh and exhaustingly jump on my bed. Right as I'm about to fall asleep I hear a loud bang coming from the back of the base. Who would be dumb enough to infiltrate of all places, our main headquarters? I reluctantly grab my shotgun and peer outside my window.
What in the world? What's going on, I see Kai sneaking some woman in the backdoor to his room. This dude has to be off his edge. Ever since Kai and his girl broke up, he's been in his feels and everything. But sneaking in an NPC at 1 AM is just...beyond me. But I notice something, on the woman's earrings, bright red diamonds sparkle in the night.
Now I have to investigate. I angrily grab my shotgun and march over to Kai's room. Kai wouldn't do this to us, would he? With the very own leader of The Blood Brothers? I walk forward and I'm suddenly flabbergasted by what I hear next.
