"A long drive, Abhi?" I asked him, my voice laced with excitement. All my tiredness seemed to vanish in seconds as he nodded to my question.

"It has been long since we-" he paused in the middle of his words as he held my hands tightly encircling his waist.

"Since we- had time for ourselves like this? Us, alone?" I asked him knowing what his answer could be.

"Yes." His voice was barely audible and had it not been for the silence around us, his affirmation would have gone unheard by me. He sounded disappointed, and it was justified.

I missed him, a lot.

With the final exams near and all the stress and academic pressure totally crashing down on our heads, we didn't even have time to talk to each other. Considering how tight our schedule was, days passed when we neither had breakfast together, nor dinner. We barely even saw each other's faces for almost 1 or 2 months before the final semester.

As the semester ended, we finally got some time to breathe and have some time for ourselves.

"Let's make up for the past few months. I missed you so much." I snuggled on his back and inhaled his scent. His scent had grown so familiar to my senses that I wondered to what extent I was addicted to it. His fingers traced softly along mine as he spoke, "I missed you, more. Hold me tight, Esha. I will speed up."

His voice sounded a little less expressive, but I shrugged off those unwanted thoughts and decided to focus on him. On us.

It had been years I last rode on his bike. The Royal Enfield bike, he bought for me. I still remember the first time he made me ride this bike to drop me home.

I smiled and blushed like a fool as my thoughts went down its memory lane. My grip on his waist tightened as I reminisced that night. I felt nothing but special.

He drove fast, as the trees ran past us. The roads were almost deserted, and we were probably the only ones out there. Just this thought caused a sense of thrill coursing through my veins.

The cool breeze caressed my cheeks, and I breathed in the fresh air as we approached the countryside.

I spread my arms on both my sides and looked up the sky in happiness. Abhi panicked saying, "Esha, hold me tight. What are you doing?"

"Ah- it's okay. Let me enjoy this ride." With a wide grin, I looked at him through the looking glass in the front. I realized it was long since I watched him smiling that wide and bright.

"Just don't break your bones amidst your process of enjoying." He playfully warned.

"Oh, I won't. Who can ignore this beauty of the nature, also when I am enjoying this after months? No way! I am going to enjoy every single bit of it." I squealed in happiness as he chuckled before halting the bike taking me to surprise.

"We are almost there, let's go." Holding my hands in his, he helped me getting down from the bike. As soon as my feet touched the earth, before I could even realize what was happening, he almost dragged me somewhere, I didn't know.

"Oh my God, Abhi, slow down. You are tiring me out with this much running. Where are we heading to?" I asked him in wonder while panting miserably for air to enter my lungs and satisfy my shortness of breath.

"Didn't you say you want to enjoy? Huh? No questions, just come with me, run faster and see for yourself where we are going. I bet you will be mesmerized once you have a look at it." He grinned as he replied making me smile a bit in surprise thinking what he was probably indicating.

"Is it? Now you are making me more curious that I already was."

He pulled me to himself, and we ran for a few good minutes with him holding my hand and me following him from behind. The empty atmosphere there was filled with our giggles and screams of joy.
