TASTE~ SABRINA CARPENTER

A car drove into the parking lot, two ladies stepped out of the car. The house is an Italianate house, Emily bought a week ago and she has finally moved in today.

“Wow!” Charlotte gaped, as she looked at the house in awe.

The house has a facade made with black brick with ornate black iron work balconies and decorative cornices. The windows are so tall, narrow windows and black shutters with ornate stone surrounds.

The doors are black wooden doors with ornate iron work and a heavy iron knocker. The roof is black slate with decorative finials and creating. There are ornate black arches and doorways with decorative keystones.

"Just wait till you get inside." Emily stuck the key inside the lock and twisted it. The door opened and they both walked in.

"Emily, this is incredible!" Charlotte gushed, like someone who was just seeing something amazing for the first time in her life.

The walls are black painted walls with ornate gold molding and decorative trim. The floors are black marble floors with intricate patterns. The ceilings are high, vaulted with exposed black beams and ornate plaster work. There are dramatic chandeliers and sconces hanging on the ceiling, in black metal with crystal drops.

There are four velvet sofas and arm chairs with ornate gold. There is an artwork of a fish in a water jar plastered on the wall. There is also a long mirror with golden frame hanging on one side of the sitting room. There is also a grand black staircase with ornate iron work and decorative newel posts.

"I am so packing my things to live here with you."

"No, you're not. I paid for this house all by myself without anyone's help."

"Are you sure?” she teased, wiggling her eyebrows up and down. Emily rolled her eyes, knowing the meaning of that look.

"Don't even go there, because Daniel didn't help me with this." Daniel is her crush till date, they worked in the same modelling agency. But she have never had the mind to ask him out, she only just admired him till he got himself a girlfriend.

"Speaking of that, what about Tod?"

"I have no business with him, he is in my past now. I have moved on and so as he."

Anytime someone brought up topic like Tod, the subject always bored her. Everyone said they were the perfect match, they were cute couples together, ecetera, ecetera. Everybody kept saying same thing all over the blog and social media, waiting for when they'll reconcile. But they thing they didn't know was that, Emily was done with the relationship for good and she wasn't going back into it.

"I need to go to my room and set my things right." She informed Charlotte, who was absent-minded and gwaning at the house.

Emily shrugged and went upstairs to her room.

"Oh yes, yes. I'll be waiting—" She turned around to find no one. Emily had left by then. "So that we'll talk about my moving in here." She uttered her words to herself.

Music was blasting from Emily's phone as she arranged her new room. She changed the bedsheet into white, the duvet is black designed in a beautiful way, she laid it. She set her alarm on the small desk, alongside her lamp stand. She arranged few novels on the shelves. She filled the empty wardrobe with her dresses and shoes in different sections like; home clothe, sleeping wears, outing wears, and work wears.

"Emily! Do you mind coming downstairs for a minute!" Charlotte called from downstairs, she reduced the volume of her music.

"Sure." She stepped out of her room. Her phone dinged with a new notification.
