After lunch, Sydney's gaze drifts around Asher's apartment and lands on the guitar leaning against the wall. She smiles, remembering Asher's earlier mention of playing. "You should play something for me," Sydney suggests with a hopeful smile.

Asher shakes her head, feeling a bit shy. "Oh, I don't know. I haven't played for someone in a long time, the last time I did play in camp all the girls chuckled without saying anything, my uh, my...situation-ship, she grabbed my guitar and handed it over to Harry, one of my ex-guy friend from before and insisted he play for her instead."

Sydney pouts a little, "Im sorry, Ash. That's not so nice, you're too sweet of a soul to be toyed with."

Asher hesitates, but then she thinks about how Simon probably wouldn't do this for Sydney. Feeling a sudden surge of confidence, she decides to give in. "Okay, don't worry about it it's okay. What song do you want to hear?" she asks, grabbing the guitar and sitting back down on the floor.

"Really, Ash? Anything will do, I trust your choice," Sydney says, her eyes twinkling with anticipation.

Asher thinks for a moment, then smiles softly. "Alright, how about 'Mystery of Love' by Sufjan Stevens? It's one of my favorites."

Sydney nods eagerly, settling back to listen. Asher takes a deep breath, her fingers gently finding the familiar chords.

Writer's note:
From here, I suggest you guys play the song to further be in the mood for the next few scenes.

She starts to strum softly, and the room fills with the delicate, beautiful melody of the song. It's slow, but fast. It's beautiful, comforting and homey. The sound of new beginnings.

Asher's voice joins in, her tone soft but rich, deeper than her usual speaking voice, the one she softens to create a softer environment and impression for such a feminine and delicate woman like Sydney.

Sydney watches, completely mesmerized by Asher's transformation. The vulnerability and emotion in her voice are captivating, and Sydney can't help but be drawn in. Each note seems to carry a piece of Asher's soul, and for a moment, it feels like the world outside has completely faded away.

Asher continues to play, her eyes occasionally flicking up to meet Sydney's for approval. She feels a mix of nervousness and excitement bubbling inside her, but as she sings, she feels more and more at ease. This is her, laid bare in the music, and she's sharing it with Sydney.

In the quiet room, under soft daylight,
Asher holds her guitar tight.
Fingers glide, tender, professional and slow,
Notes like whispers, a gentle flow.

Sydney watches, breathless and still,
Captivated by Asher's will.
In every strum, there's something more,
A secret language they both adore.

Eyes meet across a world unseen,
In the melody, a space serene.
Their hearts beat in time, a silent song,
A hope that love will carry them along.

Asher plays, her spirit free,
Sydney smiles, lost in the melody.
Each chord they share, a silent plea,
"Let our love be just as smooth, let it flow
the way this song flows."

The guitar hums a tune so bright,
Binding Asher and Sydney tight.
Through every note, they find their start,
Two girls in love, one perfect heart.

May their song go on, pure and true,
A melody for just these two.
In each other's arms, they'll find their way,
Sydney and Asher,
Your love will flow one day.

The music is light. Their eyes meet again and again.

What a beautiful scene they've created.

What a beautiful scene love is, what love does, how love brings out our courage.

Love is beautiful.

Two girls, troubled, finding peace in one another. Oh how beautiful that is.

Love shouldn't be suffocating. A love like theirs is not suffocating. A love like theirs is special, it's intimate, it's rare, it's priceless.

A heterosexual would never be able to experience something like this no matter how hard they try.

That's the beauty of it. It's rare. It's a blessing.

This isn't a curse. The world is a curse. But this, this isn't a curse even though this is their world. Their world is different and it's perfect just as it is.

They don't have to deny it. They don't have to change.

This is real and this is true.

This is okay.

This is more than okay.

This is beautiful.

They're beautiful, beautiful for each other.

When the song ends, there's a lingering silence. Sydney's eyes are filled with a mix of admiration and something deeper, something unspoken, cloudy and touched. "That was beautiful, Ash," she says softly, her voice almost a whisper. "Thank you for sharing that with me."

Asher blushes, setting the guitar aside. She smiles, her heart still racing from the performance and the intense way Sydney is looking at her. The room feels charged with a new kind of energy, and for a moment, neither of them speaks, both lost in the afterglow of the music and the emotions it stirred. The weight of Asher's head leaning on Sydney's shoulder speaks for the love in the air.
