In sunlight’s glow, he seems divine,
A graceful figure, pure and fine,
With tender words and softest touch,
He captivates, he charms so much.

His smile, a beacon in the dark,
A soothing balm, a gentle spark,
To all who see, he’s kindness true,
A soul of warmth, a heart of dew.

Yet shadows curl beneath his grace,
A darker truth he can’t erase,
In secret halls, his evil stirs,
A schemer's mind, a heart that blurs.

Behind the mask of sweetness clear,
A villain waits, his plans are near,
With every compliment and jest,
He weaves deceit, he plots unrest.

His beauty hides a cruel design,
A twisted soul where darkness twines,
For all who see his outward charm,
Are blind to dread, to hidden harm.

As dusk descends, his true face shows,
A serpent's heart where malice grows,
Yet still, the world adores the light,
Unknowing of the endless night.

Yami's eyes fluttered open to the gentle light of a lavishly appointed room.

The walls were adorned with rich tapestries, and opulent furnishings filled the space—a velvet armchair, an intricately carved mahogany desk, and a massive bed with silken sheets.

The room was warm, a stark contrast to the chill she had felt only hours before.

Sitting up slowly, Yami’s head swam with confusion.

The last clear memory she had was from the snowy forest where she had been investigating a string of missing people.

The forest had been eerily quiet, save for the crunch of snow beneath her boots.

She had been following a faint trail when a sudden, chilling presence had pierced the silence.

She remembered the snow swirling violently as a shadowy figure emerged from the darkness.

It had been a wolf—larger and more menacing than any she had seen. Its eyes had gleamed with a predatory glint as it lunged at her with terrifying speed.

The wolf had knocked her to the ground, and in those frantic moments, the cold and the fear had overwhelmed her.

She had fought to fend off the beast, the biting cold of the snow mingling with the heat of her adrenaline. Then, everything had gone black.
