Soon as he was filled in about what had happened, Monty glanced over his shoulder. Thinking about everything that had been happening. How Vanessa had come into his room a little while ago. Asking him to go find this lost kid who stayed too late by accident. Chica and Roxy were already looking for him in the hallways. This seemed odd to him, and he asked if Freddy was going to be helping in this search. When she said no, he got a little suspicious of the reasoning. As she said he was charging after that fiasco on stage. That sounded reasonable in his book but much too reasonable and convenient.

Super convenient if you ask him.

Sure, they weren't buddies or anything like that. Everyone knew that. But he had this strange feeling about Freddy's being out of commission. And there was something off about the way that Vanessa had been talking to him. She never made eye contact with him once during the conversation. Also, she seemed a little jumpy from his perspective. Like she was up to something that she didn't want him to find out. A thought briefly crossed his mind that this was the suspicious thing that she had been up to. Though he couldn't imagine her being the one that had kidnapped Paige from the Superstar Daycare. Just why in the Hell would she want to do that for? In fact, why would Paige's mom want her taken either? Maybe this Vanny person was lying to her. Her mom never came off as someone who would do that. If the few times he got to chat with her meant anything he felt, she really adored her daughter. Showed her pictures of her baby girl when she was so very adorable and chubby.

The first picture that she showed Monty was her at six months old. Unable to hold her head up so she had to carefully pull her into a seated position. To him these weren't the actions of an unloving mother. At least he hoped they wouldn't be. Monty asked,"She didn't say she was doing this because your mama asked her did she?"

"Or did she say she was doing this for your mama?",he added. The distinction would make all the difference to Monty. Since if the weird rabbit lady, as Paige put her, she wasn't doing it for her. But for some messed up sense of loyalty to her. Or whatever anyone else could possibly call that. Paige answered,"She said she was doing it for my mom."

"Okay, so I'm going to be nice to your mama and say she probably didn't ask this lady to hurt you.",Monty informed. Gently taking Paige's hand as they started walking the catwalks. Feeling he should bring her back to his room instead. As that would probably be a whole lot safer than the Superstar Daycare. Since this weird rabbit woman managed to steal her without Moondrop or Monica noticing. It sort of leaned into the idea that Monica had a hand in it. Really made her seem guilty. Something he couldn't really take any chances with. While they walked, he added,"Your mama loves you too much to harm you."

"Are you sure about that?",Paige questioned. Sounding more than a little anxious that her mom could be part of this. Again, he couldn't honestly blame her for feeling that way. If he were her then he would too. It was also good to know that she wasn't going to blindly go with it. Even if it was making this difficult for them both. Monty nodded his head in agreement with this. He answered,"Yeah, I'm very sure about that. And when I have, I not been right?"

"You got a point there.",she agreed. A tiny smile was on her face as they neared his room. Doing their best to avoid the security bots. Along with her mom and Vanessa. It didn't take much effort to avoid most of them. Though they found themselves trying to avoid Chica and Roxy. Paige doing her best to not act disgusted by Chica eating garbage. Something he was even struggling to not get grossed out by either. How long had that been going on for? He knew she absolutely adored pizza to an unhealthy degree. To the point where he heard she even attacked guests at the Pizzaplex for their pizzas. But he never expected to see her eating garbage because it vaguely smelled like pizza. Monty muttered,"Maybe I should talk to Fazdork about this."
