A few days just after the King Agnarr and Queen Iduna had left the kingdom, a tumultuous storm has engulfed the kingdom of Arendelle.
The storm raged outside, howling winds shook the castle windows, and flashes of lightning split the sky. Rain battered the stained glass in relentless sheets, while thunder rolled across the mountains like a distant roar. It was the kind of night that felt oppressive, closing in on everything, suffocating.
The crown princess of Arendelle, Elsa lay restless beneath her blankets, tossing and turning as she was lost in a dream that twisted around her mind like the storm outside.
She stood on the deck of a ship —her parents' ship. The sky above was dark and churning, lightning cracking across the clouds as the sea tossed the ship violently. The wind whipped through her hair, cold and relentless, as she called out to her parents, her voice swallowed by the roar of the waves.
In the distance, she could see them—her mother and father, standing at the helm, gripping the rail as the storm raged around them. Their faces were etched with fear, yet their voices didn't reach her. Elsa tried to move toward them, but her feet were rooted to the deck, frozen in place. She reached out desperately, feeling the icy chill in her veins surge to her fingertips. But she couldn't stop what was coming.
A massive wave, towering like a mountain, rose from the sea.
Elsa, despite the rain hammering against her vision, she was able to notice a dark figure standing on top of the wave just as it crashed toward the ship with terrifying force.
She screamed, but no sound came out. Her powers flared uncontrollably, ice and snow swirling around her, but it was useless. She watched helplessly as the wave slammed into the ship, capsizing it in one violent, final blow.
Her parents disappeared beneath the water, swallowed by the storm. And Elsa... she felt as though she was there with them, sinking into the freezing depths, unable to breathe, unable to save them.
They were gone.
A loud thunderclap shattered the dream, jolting Elsa awake with a gasp. She sat bolt upright, her heart racing, the terror still clinging to her like frost. The storm outside continued to rage, but the storm inside her felt worse. She could still feel the cold grip of the sea, still hear the echo of the wave crashing, the memory of loss suffocating her.
Frost had spread across her sheets, her hands trembling as she pulled the blankets closer, struggling to shake the feeling that she had just been there, reliving it all over again.
She blinked back tears and whispered into the darkness, "It was just a dream..."
But deep down, she knew it wasn't just the storm outside that had woken her.
