"what?"
"let's get married."
ari grabbed his hands. they were a little calloused, but she liked it; it contrasted her own hands. this time, his hands are the only hands she'll hold.
"but your wedding-"
"do you trust me?" ari asked seriously, interrupting him. if she wants to do things the right way, he'll have to trust her.
"i trust you," his eyes softened as he looked into her eyes. although he has reasons not to trust her, his heart told him to. all he wanted was for her to be happy and to thrive. in this environment, she would never be free and so he constantly wished for her to marry him.
"then please, marry me. i'll cancel the wedding tomorrow, but we have to do it my way, okay?" she gripped his hands tighter and he nodded. "alright. what do you want to do?"
ari smiled. "first, you have to call me sweetie. we gotta get into the role of actually having been in love." she placed a finger on her lips thoughtfully.
jaejun looked down with a smile. "that won't be too hard for me, sweetie." he confessed and ari looked away, blushing. she cleared her throat. "okay! so here's the plan..."

"where is that brat?! the wedding is about to start! elliot, call your bride!"
"don't worry, mother. she'll come. she's so blindly in love with elliot that she'll do anything to have him," layla snickered.
"she better come! as her father i will punish her if she doesn't!" he sneered as he checked the time.
the venue was fabulous. it was grandeur white with spritz of pink here and there. it was bustling with activity and questions on the whereabouts of the bride. it was the wedding of the century because of what'll happen after the wedding: arianna will officially become the CEO of Ferrer Co., the wealthiest and powerful company in the city.
"where is she?" elliot murmured as he stood in his spot clad in a white suit. it was nearly a minute before the ceremony was to start.
"she's here!" someone yelled out. everyone looked at the door. it was as if everything was in slow motion as the doors slowly opened and revealed arianna in a sleek black dress. it was long with a train and she wore a black veil to match. the red makeup was gone and she wore modest, yet beautiful makeup. she held a singular black rose just for fun.
"i'm here," she announced and smiled. she walked forward, only to be stopped by her stepmother and father with her sister in tow. "what's the meaning of this? why are you wearing black! are you trying to curse us?" her stepmother yelled.
the attendees all began to whisper about. "whatever, just hurry and marry elliot! remember, once you marry you get the company, so go!" her stepmother grabbed her arm, but she pushed her away.
"how dare you touch me," ari scoffed. "sister, what happened to your face?" layla asked in horror.
"what's wrong with it? it's normal, no?" ari tilted her head and unveiled herself. layla remained quiet.
