Race day has finally come! I don't know what happened tho and who was racing in 2016 so I'm just gonna use the 2024 grid but switched up a little. And I also don't know their team so same as the driver line up, using the 2024 grid.
In the Toro Rosso pit area:
The drivers are in their drivers rooms' and are preparing for the race. They excerscise for a bit before being called to get in their cars.
Carlos: Good luck today Max, hopefully nothing bad will happen. He says patting the shoulders of his teammate.
Max: Good luck too, hopefully we both get on the podium, haha! No worries though, I mean it the first race of the season right?
Carlos: Right, we don't need to worry, althought we still need to do our best. Carlos says while zipping up his race suit.
"God he looks so hot" Max thought to himself while staring at Sainz for a bit longer than usual. He is quickly snapped back into reality by their Team Principal, Franz Tots, calling him.
Franz: Max! Get in your car!
Max: Oh right! Sorry!
Franz: And stop looking at Sainz like that! Franz says jokingly while checking some stuff before the race.
Race Narrator: Here we are! The first race of the year, Australia, with 68 Laps and 20 drivers, they are now lining up and here's the starting grid; 1st Sainz, 2nd Verstappen, 3rd Leclerc-
As all the drivers lined up for the race, all they could hear are the loud cheers of the fans as they line up for the race. They're all focused as the lights count from 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
Race Narrator: ITS LIGHTS OUT AND AWAY WE GO! into the first race of the season as Riccardo overtakes Stroll on the first corner, Verstappen and Leclerc are fighting for 2nd place and Sainz, leading the race for today.
As their cars roar down the racetrack, lap after lap, overtake after overtake, pitstop after pitstop, on lap 45, Verstappen is 4th, ahead of him is Alonso, Leclerc, and Sainz (3rd, 2nd, Leading) as he was overtaken by Alonso. As they turn around the corner, Hamilton's tires blow up and he spins out, sending himself into Verstappen (🤨) making Max crash into Alonso, resulting in a 3 car collision, and a red flag is ordered.
They all pull into the pits as the Race Marshalls investigate the reason for the crash, and as the safety personnel go to the crash scene.
Carlos: You think Max is okay? The crash didn't look too bad. He asks his Team Principal.
Franz: Yeah I think he'll be fine, the safety personnel are checking anyway, just to be sure. He assures Carlos.
Carlos: Okay, thanks Franz. He then walks to his driver's room, sitting on the massaging table as he sighs.
They wait a few minutes later, which felt like eternity for Carlos as he was excited to race today. He layed down on the table and scrolled through Insta, waiting for time to pass by.
After further investigation, the Marshalls decide that it was an accident and it was no one's fault as Lewis ran over a piece of metal debris that was on the track before the race since they didn't properly check the track before the race.
They let the race continue, picking up where they left off, lap 45. Sainz still leading and Leclerc following him, the cars that were involved were repaired as their damages weren't that major and the people involved could still race. They all lined up again and their engines roar back to life!
Race Narrator: Through the first corner again this afternoon, ALONSO MAKES A MOVE ON LECLERC, LECLERC TRIES TO BLOCK HIM BUT FAILS, AND THROUGH GOES ALONSO! GETTING 3RD PLACE!
They all drive the remaining laps and as the fans cheer then on, they are on the last laps of this race, on lap 63, Verstappen wins driver of the day! Because even if he crashed, he still got 2nd place which is impressive!
Carlos is 10 seconds ahead of Max as he goes through the corners, the team is checking up on him.
(Team Radio): Sainz
Franz: How are the tires feeling Carlos? Do you think you want to pit?
Carlos: The tires are great, I don't think we need to pit anymore. There are 5 laps remaining right? Carlos asks.
Franz: Yeap, 5 laps remaining.
As they go through the final laps, straights, and corners, the fans cheer them on. And support them through their last turns, brakes, and accelerations.
Race Narrator: Last corner, through the straight, AND ACROSS THE LINE! SAINZ WINS THE FIRST RACE OF THE SEASON! VERSTAPPEN SECOND AND ALONSO 3RD! The Race Narrator screams as do the fans and audience.
Carlos crosses the line and Finishes 1st, While 2nd is Verstappen, and 3rd is Alonso.
(Team Radio): Sainz
Carlos: YEAH WOOHOO! Great job everyone! Great job! That was a smooth operation today!
Franz: YEAH! Good job Carlos! Good job!
Carlos: It was a team effort by everyone!
As the Team Principal congratulates Carlos, he also Congratulates Max for the 2nd place podium.
(Team Radio): Verstappen
Franz: YES! Good job Max, good job! You and Carlos did the best you could! Congratulations! You and Carlos deserved this!
Max: Thanks Franz, thanks you guys did a great job too, despite the crash, we still finished with a 1-2! Good job everyone!
They all do one last lap around the track waving at their fans as the fans cheer for them for the billionth time this day. They all go into the pits and they line the podium finishers up as Toro Rosso cheers their two spectacular drives on, hug and congratulate them.
In the cooldown room:
Carlos: Good job guys! We had a nice race today despite the crash on lap 45.
Fernando: Yeah! Good job everyone, and Great job both of you for doing a 1-2 finish.
Max: Thanks Fernando, you did and Aston Martin great job too!
They all spoke in the cooldown room as they are called to get interviewed.
Interviewer: Great job today, Carlos, how did you and that 1-2 off despite the crash?-
They all got interviewed and they were called onto the podium to receive their trophies, to spray and drink champagne, and to finally, hear the Spanish National Anthem. They all went to the podium and got on their respective places, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
They all recieved their trophies and medals (I forgot if they gave medals) and for the last part:
Race Narrator: Let us now hear the Spanish National Anthem for the race winner, Carlos Sainz Jr. As he said that, the national anthem was played.
After that, they went off the podium and to the fans to sign some of the things the fans wanted to be signed. They took photos, spoke with the fans, and did whatever the needed to. They all went to their drivers rooms' to change and prepare for the after-race party, held at private club near the track.
Max: Great job Carlos! He says, patting his teammates shoulder.
Carlos: You too Max, you did a great job too! Ready for the party tonight?
Max: I sure am. I'm ready to be drunk and do stupid things! He said while laughing.
Carlos: Don't get too drunk though! Carlos says also laughing.
They go to their drivers rooms' and change from their champagne-covered race suits.
Max and Carlos then talk while going to the parking area to head to the hotel.
Time Skip: Nighttime
At night, around 9:30, they all went to the club and the party started.
