Aarohi's pencils scratched against the paper, her focus solely on the drawing in front of her. Lakshya sat beside her, his eyes fixed on her phone as he scrolled through it."Ooh, it's already 9 pm!" Aarohi exclaimed, her eyes widening in surprise. "I'm hungry!"
Lakshya looked up, a grin spreading across his face. "Me too!"
Aarohi set her pencils down, her hands reaching for the phone. "Wait, let me order something!"
But Lakshya was quick to react, his hand covering hers. "No, I'll cook!"
Aarohi's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "Wait, did you know how to cook?"
Lakshya chuckled, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Obviously! Yes, tell me what do you want to eat?"
Aarohi's eyes sparkled with amusement. "Idk, I mean I can cook noodles properly. Okay, I'll make spaghetti! And you can make garlic bread."
Lakshya's grin grew wider. "It's okay, I'll make both."
Aarohi's hands flew to her hips, her voice laced with mock annoyance. "Shut up! I mean, I'm going to help you."
Lakshya chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "You don't have to"
Aarohi's face scrunched up, her voice firm. "Shut up, Lakshya! Let's go"
Lakshya's eyes narrowed, his voice low and husky. "Why the hell are you so stubborn?"
Aarohi's gaze flashed, her lips curling into a defiant smile. "Yeah, I'm! And it's not your problem."
Lakshya's whisper sent shivers down her spine. "Then whose problem is it?"
Time passed, and the kitchen became a battleground of clanging pots and sizzling pans.
Aarohi's hands moved swiftly, her eyes flashing with annoyance. "Oh, c'mon Lakshya, you're taking so much space!"
Lakshya's grin was mischievous, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "C'mon, you're taking my place!" He pushed her playfully, but Aarohi stood her ground.
"I'm making the whole spaghetti, so of course, I need more space!" she exclaimed, her voice rising.
Lakshya muttered under his breath, "But I'm cutting the veggies"
Aarohi's retort was sharp, "So what?"
Just then, Lakshya's yelp of pain echoed through the kitchen. "Ouch!"
Aarohi rushed to his side, concern etched on her face. "What happened? Oh my god, that's a lot of blood Is it hurting?"
Lakshya's face twisted in pain, but he downplayed it. "No, I'm fine."
But Aarohi wouldn't have it. "Shut up, Lakshya Come with me!"
She dressed his finger, her touch gentle, her eyes locked on his.
As they sat down to eat, Aarohi realized Lakshya couldn't even hold a fork. She set down her spoon, her eyes softening.
"Wait" she whispered, feeding him, their eyes locking in a tender moment.
The kitchen drama had turned into a sweet, intimate scene, the tension between them palpable.
As they settled into their cozy room, Aarohi let out a dramatic sigh. "I'm dying of boredom!"
Lakshya, still glued to his phone, didn't even flinch. Aarohi's eyes rolled in exasperation. "Lakshya, listen"
He finally looked up, his eyes questioning. "Yes?"
