"Lakshya, hey!" Aarohi said, her voice piercing through the phone."Yes?" Lakshya replied, his tone distracted.
"I'm bored," Aarohi whined. "Are you free?"
"No," Lakshya said, his voice firm. "I have a tournament tomorrow, remember?"
But Aarohi was not one to give up easily. "Ohh, actually I wanna meet Tara! I'm feeling bored!" she exclaimed.
Lakshya sighed, his patience wearing thin. "Aarohi, I told you I'm busy. Can't it wait?"
But Aarohi was relentless. "Lakshya," she said, her voice dripping with sweetness, her puppy eyes practically visible over the phone.
Lakshya's resolve crumbled. He knew he couldn't resist those eyes, that voice. "Fine," he said, his voice resigned. "I'll take you to meet Tara. But just for a little while, and then I need to focus on my tournament."
Aarohi squealed in delight. "Yay! Thank you, Lakshya! I'll be ready in 30 minutes!"
Lakshya chuckled, his heart melting at her enthusiasm. "Okay, I'll be there. But don't expect me to stay too long."
"Okay, deal!" Aarohi said, her voice bubbly.
Lakshya smiled, his mind already racing with strategies for his tournament. But he knew he couldn't say no to Aarohi. Not when she looked at him with those puppy eyes.
As they pulled up to Tara's humble hut, a tiny ball of energy came running out, her dark pigtails bouncing with each step. "Bhaiya! Di!" she squealed, launching herself at Lakshya.
Lakshya laughed, scooping up the little girl in a warm hug. "Hey, kiddo! Miss me?"
Tara nodded enthusiastically, her big brown eyes shining with excitement. Lakshya handed her a bag of chocolates, which she snatched eagerly. "Thankyou."
Aarohi smiled, watching the exchange with a warm heart. "So, what do you wanna play today, Tara?" she asked, crouching down to the little girl's level.
Tara's face scrunched up in a pout, her arms crossing over her chest. "Umm, I don't wanna play anything. I wanna go to the amusement park! I've heard that there are so many fun rides!"
Lakshya raised an eyebrow, a smile playing on his lips. "Okay, let's go then?"
Aarohi's eyes widened in surprise. "Lakshya, but you have a tournament tomorrow!"
Lakshya shrugged, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I'll manage. Besides, I promised Tara a day out. And I keep my promises."
Tara's face lit up like a lamp, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Yay! Thank you, bhaiya! Thank you, di!"
Tara skipped ahead, her ponytails bouncing with each step. "Come on, let's go! I wanna ride the Ferris wheel first!"
Lakshya grinned, following after her. "Okay, okay. But don't say I didn't warn you."
At amusement park-
"Yayy!" Tara squealed, bouncing up and down like a rubber ball. "That was so much fun!"Aarohi laughed, smiling up at her. "So how was the ride?"
Tara's face lit up like a lamp. "It was really fun! Now I wanna go to that ride... the roller coaster!"
Aarohi's eyes widened in alarm, and she looked up at Lakshya, who was shaking his head. "No, you can't go, it's for adults!" he said firmly.
