Chapter 12

Bhadra while lying on the ground was frightened beyond measure. Fear was marred all over his face. He was like an animal waiting to be sacrificed at the altar. The stranger moved slowly towards him with a long shining sword in his hand ready to pierce hit through his chest.

But bhadra made one last gap effort to save himself. He collected some dirt and threw it  at the face of Chandralekha. The scream of chandra could be heard in the air as some dirt might have gone in her eyes too. The stranger' s attention was diverted to her. And he took this opportunity and escaped.

The stranger quickly went towards her and first he calmed her and requested to stay still. But Chandra was not listening so he grabbed her shoulder and suddenly she stilled and beinging his lips near her eyes he blew air . Then he took her to the pond and drawing some water in his palm he cleaned her face. The pain and itching of her eyes seemed to have subsided.

Chandralekha pov

As i was feeling a burning sensation in my eyes. The stranger requested in his deep voice to keep calm but i couldn't. Then suddenly out of nowhere he grabbed my shoulder. A current or shiver ran down my spine by his mere touch. I was stilled. Then he took my hand in his hand and moved towards the pond as i was walking with him i was just wishing that this moment should stop here. I was wondering what has happened to me? Why am i feeling this way? Who is this guy? Why is his mere presence affecting me this much.?

I was completely awestruck by his charisma his strength and gis fighting style. His gait had a ferocity of a lion
It is enough to instill fear in the hearts of enemy . But soon he washed my face with the water. his touch is magical. It has automatically relieved me if the burning sensation of my eyes.
I know it is not proper to think of this for a stranger. But it  seems this meet was destined to happen or was i just overimagining . I don't know but i was hoping it not ro be my last meet with him.

As the pain has subsided that man - who are you devi ? Tell me your address i will drop you safely there . It is dangerous out here in this forest.

Chandralekha - I am Chandralekha daughter of Sage Sthulakesh. We live near the forest only. It is not far from here.

Stranger was surprised and shock was evident on his face. He replied - it ' s a great coincidence as i was just searching for sage' s address.

Chandralekha happiness knew no bound when she heard this man gas come to meet her father only. She instantly asked what brings you here ro my abode?

Stranger - i am sorry devi but i can't divulge it here. I am expected to tell it to your father only.

Chandralekha- with an approving nod asked at least you can give me your introduction.What is your name?

Stranger- yes my lady. My name is Rudra. I am a suta by varna. I am the disciple of asurguru Shuklacharya.

Chandralekha asked excitedly so you are a suta but you wield weapon . That's strange and quite rebellious. It is unheard of.

Rudra- replying gravely it's not rebellious.  It's just asking your rights and having what you deserve.

So tell me what you deserve. How high do you rate yourself. How much expectations do you have of yourself? Asked Chandra.

Rudra- I deserve this whole world. I will bring this whole world to my feet and prove that even a suta can be a warrior. He can be the best if he intends to.
As far as being rebellious is concerned you are also an exception.

Chandralekha got surprised and turning her face towards him asked how can you say so?

Rudra- because when that man was asking for your forgiveness you instead ordered his execution. You are different than the other females of this aryavart. They would have forgiven him.
