The next day:

Like always, Hinata woke up at 5 in the morning. Freshening up, she ate some fried bacon, eggs and rice. 'Hmm...! absolutely perfect! Naruto Kun would like it too.' she thought. Naruto was not a morning person, at all, currently sleeping was the only thing he could do, looking at him she remembered him saying that he couldn't wake up early to save his life, smiling gently at his sleeping figure she went up to the edge of the bed and covered Naruto in the blanket placed there. 'Have a good sleep dear' she thought, it had become a tradition of her putting the blanket over him every morning.

By now it was 6:45, so she got ready and left for the training grounds.

Meanwhile:

In the Uchiha compound Sasuke was training with his kunai, being the overachiever he was in academy, he had to keep up his training every day without fail, 'I have to keep training to get better and better to defeat him. But, training like this is getting me nowhere. There's no change that I notice in my strength, nothing is currently working. The only Jutsus I know are the E rank Jutsus and a few fire style Jutsus.' He thought assessing his own strengths, 'I need Kakashi sensei to teach me better Jutsus to even hold a candle against him' he thought.

Wiping the sweat off and cleaning himself off, he checked the time. 'It's time to leave' he thought and left for the training grounds too.

In the training ground, as soon as he arrived, he realized something 'Kakashi sensei is gonna be late! How could I even forget?' he thought disappointed. "So, he hasn't arrived, has he?" he asked Hinata, who was training her clan's Taijutsu, "No, he hasn't, neither has Naruto Kun" she replied, not paying attention to him. 'Naruto Kun, huh. Where have I heard someone say that in a similar tone?' he thought. Not remembering, he stopped and went to a nearby tree and sat below it. He wished to not wait too long for Naruto and Kakashi.

But God(me) had a different plan for him, it was only after an hour and a half that Naruto finally arrived, "Hi Naruto Kun!" Hinata said, "You're early" Sasuke said sarcastically, "So... Kakashi hasn't arrived yet, has he?" he asked, the two shook their heads at him, "Well, I told ya Hinata Chan! He's Kakashi after all he's gonna be late, no exceptions." Naruto said, 'Hinata Chan? What the hell is even going on between these two? I am confused. It's using too much brain juice!' he thought.

Unbeknownst to them their sensei was standing on a branch of a tree, clearly being able to perceive their conversation, 'Sasuke's look makes it funnier that they aren't even dating; she's too scared to confess and he's too oblivious to see her love.' He thought, an eye smile being the only hint of emotion on his masked face.

"All righty! Get ready for the test, you have 3 hours to complete your task, and your task is to snatch these bells on my person. If you fail to complete this task, then all three of you will end up in the academy again." He said from the tree giving them a glance at the bells, and then he vanished into thin air and appeared in the middle of the training ground. "Well! I will have those bells in no time!" Naruto screamed at the top of his lungs and started charging at Kakashi. 'Wait... there are only two bells... does that mean!?...' Sasuke thought with a dreadful expression on his face, Hinata realized the same.

Naruto lunged at Kakashi with a right hook and followed it up with an uppercut, both of which were dodged effortlessly by the Jonin. Then he switched to his kunai and landed a few shots near the Jonin's face and chest but those efforts were wasted since Kakashi was not even bothered to look up from his book.

Kakashi was bored at the Genin's futile attempts, so decking him across the clearing and into the bushes a few metres away from his teammates seemed good enough.
