Would any of you be interested in reading a rewrite of my Hela novels? I feel like I've rushed a lot of the plot, and I'm not too particularly happy with my plot so far. It follows the movies pretty close, and I think I'd like to make the story my own some more and explore the characters further.
Anyways, it's up to you guys. Comment your thoughts/opinions. I'll definitely finish this story, but I don't think I'll deliver into the winter soldier or age of ultron with this version.
Here's a short sample I wrote:
I've always wondered; what would it be like to be a bird? Soaring to heights, far as the eye could see, unable to fall. My whole life I've learned what to do in order to succeed, to fight to live another day. But I'm afraid I'm still a such a little bird, teetering at the edge of the cliff, afraid to stretch my wings and fly. I learned once in school that a cowbird laid her effects in the nest of others, forcing them to foster its babies. I'm a cowbird, and SHIELD is my foster family.
Of all the people who think that they are black sheep, and stick out like a sore thumb, in the worst. For starters, my name is Hela. Hela Schild. Of course, Schild isn't my real name, as you might have guessed. Since we have some of the strongest and smartest people at SHIELD, we heavily lack in one category. Creativity. I earned my last name from the Germanic spelling if the word shield, because most of the high ranking officers have PHD's in war strategy and warfare than creative baby names.
I had been living at SHIELD for as long as I could remember, and always stuck out of the crowd, being the only kid living at our headquarters. And, of course, I received special treatment, not only for my age and physical abilities, but also due to my powers. They told me I was born with them. Seeing as I didn't know any better, I believed it to be true. Fury said I arrived on their doorstep kicking and screaming. I hadn't changed much. They found out about my powers there days after my arrival when an unsuspecting agent was sent to put me to sleep. I didn't like that, and Captain America ended up with a very loud baby with glowing green hands. He then dropped my into my crib rather roughly, resulting in a scar visible on my elbow. I didn't blame him, though. Sometimes my powers even scared me.
Anyways, I'll try to wrap up this story nicely, but I'd like to know if you guys are willing to start over with me.
