As the warm water swirled around her, Emilia's thoughts were a chaotic storm. Anger and sadness clawed at her insides, making it impossible to relax. She had betrayed Subaru's trust. The one person who had always believed in her, no matter what. Subaru, who had stood by her side through every hardship. And now, she had let Julius kiss her, touch her. How could she face Subaru after this?

At first, she had thought she could hide it. The moment she stepped out of the carriage and covered herself with a bedsheet, she believed she could bury this secret deep inside. But hiding wasn't a solution. Not when Julius kept pushing his advances on her. Not when his love was twisted by the Witch Factor. Emilia's eyes stung with tears as she scrubbed at her skin, as if trying to wash away her guilt.

"This is all my fault," she whispered to herself. "I never wanted to hurt anyone, but I allowed it to happen. I should have pushed Julius away, even if it meant hurting him. Even if... even if it meant killing him."

The thought of harming Julius made her chest tighten. He wasn't himself. The Witch Factor had corrupted him, and his love wasn't genuine. Emilia felt trapped, every option leading to more pain. She had failed people in the past, and now she was failing them again. She had ruined Julius's life by allowing him to get close. He had abandoned Anastasia, his loyalty, everything he stood for, just for her. And she let him do it. She let him kiss her like that, touch her like that.

Emilia's resolve hardened. She needed to tell the truth, no matter how much it hurt. She would write everything down, confess to Subaru about what had happened. About the first kiss when Julius forced himself into her room. About the kisses in the carriage. About how she felt cornered, how Julius's words about ending his life had scared her into submission. She needed Subaru to understand why she did what she did, even if it disgusted him. She needed him to know the weight she carried and why she felt responsible for fixing it. For making sure Julius didn't do anything reckless.

With trembling hands, Emilia got out of the bath, dried herself off, and went to her desk. She pulled out a piece of paper and a pen and began writing. Each word felt like a stab to her heart, but she kept going. The letter was addressed to Subaru. She poured out her heart, explaining her fear of Julius harming himself, her belief that she was responsible for his condition, and how she felt trapped between protecting Julius and staying true to Subaru. At the end of the letter, she wrote her confession—how she loved Subaru, truly loved him, but knew he would despise her for what she had done. She would end this herself and hoped Julius would regain his sanity when she was gone.

Outside, Ram and Subaru had been talking to Julius, who had insisted he needed to see Emilia. Ram was firm, stating that he couldn't just go into Emilia's room, especially not in the state he was in. Suddenly, Julius collapsed to the floor, clutching his stomach. Blood began to pool around him, soaking into the carpet. Subaru's eyes widened in horror as he rushed to Julius's side.

"Julius! What the hell?" Subaru shouted, trying to press his hands against the wound to stop the bleeding.

Julius's voice was weak, a faint whisper. "Go... save Emilia... the ring..." His eyes rolled back, and his body went limp. Ram's heart pounded in her chest. The ring. The ring Emilia wore. She turned to Subaru, panic evident in her voice.

"We need to get to Emilia's room. Now!"

Leaving Julius's body behind, Subaru and Ram sprinted down the corridor. The door to Emilia's room was slightly ajar. Pushing it open, Subaru's heart stopped at the sight before him. Emilia was slumped in a chair, her body covered in blood, an ice dagger repeatedly stabbed into her stomach. Her hands were limp, one still holding the hilt of the dagger.

"No! Emilia!" Subaru screamed, rushing to her side, shaking her shoulders, trying to will life back into her. Ram stood frozen, tears streaming down her face.
