Leon's POV
The monster is dead at my feet, it's body twitches until it suddenly comes to a slow stop. Blood pools underneath and forms around my boot. I heavily pant-- exhaling and inhaling to catch my breath and wipe a sweat trail on my forehead.
This thing ate a lot of my ammunition, I open the clip to the handgun seeing that I have four rounds left and another twelve in my pocket. That should be enough to get back to Marvin. I'm hoping (Y/n) found her way back. I make my way to the door I had just came from but the explosion caused a wooden shelf to fall in front of it blocking me from passing through. I holster my handgun and grip the heavy shelf pushing it back into its standing place.
Now that it's finally out of the way, I make my way to the library going down the staircase taking a short cut, if only she was able to go down this way that's safer but that thing was in the way. Once I pass through the library's entrance door I rush my way to the staircase, I see Marvin resting on the couch. On the ground with her knees planted to the tile floor and palms flat pressed to the ground is (Y/n), I rush down the steps skipping a few at the bottom sliding down to a knee to check on her. My hands hover over her not wanting to upset her.
(Leon)-"Hey-- are you okay?" She doesn't answer as she keeps her head down. Her breathing is out of sync and rapid.
(Leon)-"It's okay. You're safe. Breathe." She begins to breathe in and out going at a slow pace. I gently place my hand on her back feeling her body trembling.
(Leon)-"Were you attacked? Were you bitten?" She shakes her head. That puts me at ease. A few silent moments later she was able to breathe peacefully, I help her stand back on her feet and she sticks out a thumbs up. I smile lightly. She walks passed me heading over to check on Marvin, I make my way over to the tall woman statue and put in the medallion pieces into the slots. The statue begins to shift and move lower parts down to the ground revealing a hidden passage way. I place my hand on the cold knob twisting it to open, I give it a little push and open it wide. It was pitch black that my flashlight doesn't reach the end, only dust particles floating in and out of the light beam.
(Leon)-"So it goes underground...Huh. That's it-- that's our way out."
Your POV
Marvin isn't looking so good. His stomach wound still leaks blood from it. I place the back of my fingers to Marvin's forehead feeling his warm body temperature, he's running a high fever most likely. It worries me.
(Leon)-"Lieutenant Branagh! Marvin!" Leon calls for him but Marvin doesn't move.
(Leon)-"It's time to go!" Leon lowers down barely touching his arm and Marvin jolts up awake with a gasp. I even take a step back as I was startled. Marvin's eyes wonder rapidly as if he didn't know where he was.
(Y/n)-"We need to get you to a hospital right now."
(Marvin)-"No, no...I...Save yourself." He clenches his side and winces with a painful expression.
