Annette leaned her back against the back rock wall of the Remembrance Garden with a sigh. She fidgeted with her sleeves, twisting and turning them as she focused on her breathing. She got the feeling that she didn't usually get overwhelmed too quickly, despite her overall dislike for large social gatherings.

What would she know, though? She just got dumped here a week ago with no information or memories of her past, into this new world with a different culture, different people, different plants, different animals, different-

She paused the line of thought and took a deep breath. Okay, okay. She's fine. It's fine. She just met too many people while in the vulnerable state of being the fresh new human in town.

It was only around a week ago that she was dropped into Kilima with no memories but her own name- and even then, only her first. It was... Uncomfortable, to say the least.

Jina, while nice, was a little bit too much for her with all the questions. She had retreated into her head and spaced out for most of the conversation. She got through the introduction with her, Shayne, and Ashura, but her conversation skills were far from notable, even compared to her usual abilities.

Ashura had offered her to stay the night in the inn, but after learning about the human settlement, she was eager to have her own private space far from others. Her mind calmed far more easily in the absence of others, especially if she had a project like building a home to occupy her hands.

After briefly meeting Hodari, she had gotten straight to work. It was relieving to exert so much energy on a task, and it gave her the time and opportunity to think about her circumstances and the new world she found herself in.

With such little information and an immense amount of change, she certainly had a lot of thoughts to sift through, after all.

Annette took a few days to set up. She gathered what she could from the little bit of wild around her, and chopped down so many trees that her arms were sore. Of course, she only had a tent at the time, but she needed a real home eventually- she only figured it'd be right to start gathering supplies.

In truth, she had been procrastinating going back into town. The area she was in had felt like home. Annette had a feeling it was similar to where she used to live in whatever life she led before, and she didn't feel particularly enthusiastic to go meet more people and go through the legality of her new living situation. Alas, the time had come, and so she ventured back into town.

She had finally sought out the Mayor of the town, Kenli. An interesting character, that was certain. Once she met Eshe it was clear that she ran most of the serious aspects of it all, which was slightly odd to Annette, but to each their own she supposed.

Eshe was... also quite the character. Stiff, and with a definite personality on her shoulders, but not entirely unpleasant. For the most part.

And so she started on her venture of building her home. She met Tish, got her basic recipes, got an axe from Ashura, and once again she was fixated and busy with building her new home up from the ground.

She'd stayed there again for a while, building and setting everything up. She got a little carried away with it all, both in an eagerness to finally be able to settle and to have a distraction. Eventually though, it had been almost two weeks since she'd entered Kilima, and she'd only been into town twice. She needed supplies and knowledge, and she needed to at least introduce herself to everyone she'd missed.

When Annette entered town, the first place she went to was the library. She had wanted to know more about the Majiri culture, and what better place to learn about it than the library?
