Past Memories

3rd person POV:

A week before Alexis moved across the US

(This will contains mature topics in this chapter like abuse and trauma so please be aware)

I was there, sitting on my floor in front of my bed, crying my eyes out as I got into an argument with my mother but she didn't stop as she barged into my room

"YOUNG LADY IM NOT DONE WITH YOU"
I shot up from the floor but before I could even understand what was happening......

She raised her head and slapped me across the face as I fell to the floor

"You...... you aren't supposed to be this way, you aren't supposed to like girls, that's now how I wanted to raise you"
I wanted to speak up but my body wouldn't let me, out of fear alone

"I wish things could've been another way but I have to teach you a lesson"
She raised her hand higher but before she could land a hit, the door opens downstairs

"You better not move at all, you understand me you creature"
My mom walks out of the room and slams my door and I couldn't contain my tears as I cry on the floor

My mom wasn't like this but it wasn't until my dad found out the truth, she went crazy and now knowing my liking for girls, she hasn't been the same

I was laying there, on the floor crying as I heard the door open and I shot up and I seen my step-dad at the door

"Oh my gosh"
He runs to my side and hugs me, he's done that to calm me down, it helps

"Bruce, w-w-what are you doing?"
"Alexis I'm so sorry I didn't know sooner, damn it"

Bruce got up and starting calling someone
"Yes, it's happened. I know this is insane but it'll work, trust me, she won't win"

He hung up the phone and turned to me
"What did you do and who was on the phone?"
"It was your dad, he's been fighting to take you back for a long time but couldn't cause there was no evidence of any wrongdoing but now that we have it, your dad can take this to court"

I wiped away my tears and I hugged Bruce
"Thank you, thank you so much but what about you?"

Bruce smirked
"Remember, I am a lawyer and I happen to have been talking to your father for some time so it's all coming to plan"

I was shocked and happy about the news and I couldn't believe it

"If things go according to plan, you'll be heading to your dads in some time so be prepared"

Bruce turns to walk out of my room but stops
"I may not have been able to have a daughter but your the best thing I've ever had that was close to a daughter and no matter what, I will always love you and be here for you if you need me"

Alexis POV:
I shot up straight from my bed with a groan and looked over at the clock

It's only 9 am, I mean it's Friday and tomorrow is the fair, today was canceled for the fair tomorrow so that's good

I get up and then remember what happened in the bathroom the day before

I looked in the mirror and felt the pain on my cheek, the mark that's still left by my mom, I couldn't hold the tears in any longer, the moment clouding my mind, I couldn't help but fall to my knees and couldn't help but repeat
"No.... Not again"

but I turn to the clustering of books on the floor to see Kaitlyn standing there as she runs to my side

She reaches her hand out but the touch reminded me of mom and I pulled away
"Please...., not again, please don't"
I could hear Kaitlyn talking and telling me what's wrong
"What do you mean again? Alexis what happened to you, who did this to you?"

I couldn't help it but run out of the bathroom, I couldn't let her see me like this, she already seen the mark and now she's seen it, she's gonna be suspicious but I'll tell her, one day

The memorie fades and I begin to sadden

Did I worry her too much? She'll go digging for the truth sure, but I don't blame her, I'd do the same in her situation

My bedroom door opens to see none other than my best friend Carly

"Yooo girl what up?"
"Nothing much, did you get set up at your Aunts place and are you sure your parents were okay with you coming here"

Carly groans in annoyance
"Alexis for the millionth times, they know of the situation and though it was best that you had a friend here with you and plus, we've been friend since we were in diapers so wherever you go, I go"

I chuckled and give her a hug
"Thank you!"

She squeezes and pulls away
"Your welcome and now about your situation with Kaitlyn"

I groan and flop in my bed
"I know, I had a whatever it's called in the bathroom and I ran out on her but how should I tell her?"

Carly starts to think then a lightbulb pops up
"Well the festival is tomorrow and since her friend and I are going, why not join us, I can drag her friend away and you can tell her the truth."

I looked at her and slowly nodded
"I know you didn't need to ask me but needed reassurance"
I chuckled and slapped her shoulder

"Okay okay but before I....."
before Carly could finish, my dad yells out my name

"HEY YOU HAVE GUEST"
I look at Carly with a perplexed and confused look

"Did you ask anyone to come here?"
"No not that I know of"

Me and Carly walk downstairs to the living room to see Kaitlyn and Sarah sitting on the couch

My dad looks towards us and then and knowing the situation gets up

"I'm gonna be in the garage so you ladies can talk"
As he leaves, Sarah approaches Carly

"We should leave them alone for a bit"
Carly nods and looks towards me

"You guys can hang out in the guest room upstairs across from my room but don't do anything too loud"

Carly chuckles and grabs Sarahs hand and runs upstairs

I look at Kaitlyn's face and she has a worried look on her face, like she hasn't had much sleep

Guess I should lay it out there, oh boy here we go

Hello to anyone reading this, I apologize for the long delay but I kept forgetting to continue this book but I promise I'll be back on track or I'll try to but we're gonna have the next chapter be in a Kailtyn POV then the next chapter will be in Sarahs POV and Carlys POV so they get some characterization and growth but now that Alexis has confronted Kaitlyn, how will this play out? Will Kaitlyn be understanding and help her out, will Alexis not tell the truth?

But what about Sarah and Carly, will their relationship develop easier or will it be harder? Questions that may need answered yes but answers will be soon so hope you all enjoy 😉😁
