(3rd pov)
Noctis found himself running through the castle hallway, feeling a whirlwind of emotions. He could hear Harry, Ron, and Hermione calling out to him, but in that moment, he just needed to be alone. Noctis transformed into his animagus wolf form and dashed toward the forbidden forest, seeking solace in its shadows. As he paused to catch his breath and return to his human form, he felt the weight of his choices pressing down on him. Lost in thought, he unknowingly wandered around the forest until the sight of a tranquil lake stopped him in his tracks. As he strolled toward the tranquil lake, he caught sight of his own reflection and found himself lost in deep contemplation. The events in the class were still fresh in his mind. The boggart had transformed into the image of his mother, Bellatrix Lestrange. It was bewildering to realize that she was his greatest fear, considering that he had always believed that his father or the friends he made would abandon him, would be his worst fear. Cyrus attempted to console Noctis, but he was too absorbed in his thoughts to pay much attention to what he was saying.
As he grappled with the realization that his greatest fear was his enigmatic mother, a sense of familiarity washed over him – a feeling akin to the one he experienced when encountering the black dog and when Ron's pet rat revealed itself back at the ice cream parlor. He swiftly pivoted to come face-to-face with the black dog once again. It snarled menacingly as it closed in on him, prompting Noctis to draw out his wand and caution it to stay back. As Cyrus hissed at the dog, he alerted him to the fact that the dog bore a distinctly different scent.,
Noctis narrowed his eyes, his voice low and dangerous as he hissed, "~ Hiss, what do you mean a different scent?"
Cyrus met his gaze, his own voice a low hiss in response, "~Hiss, the dog smells that of a human."
As the dog advanced menacingly, Noctis prepared himself for an attack. Focusing his mind, he delved into the dog's consciousness using legilimency. Amidst the mental chaos, he discovered the true identity of the dog. It was none other than his first-uncle, Sirius Black.
Sirius, in his dog form, sneered, "So this is the son of Voldemort and my deranged cousin. I still can't believe they had a child. He looks deceptively normal, but I know better. He's likely plotting to carry on his father's work. I must stop him; he's a threat to Harry."
Noctis, hearing what he said responded, "I'll have you know that four-eyes is a danger to us all. He's a trouble magnet. Besides, I despise my parents, so I have no reason to fulfill their wishes," he retorted. Even as a dog, Sirius looked visibly taken aback.
"I'm a natural-born Legilimens," Noctis continued coolly, "I can hear and read your thoughts effortlessly." He urged Sirius to discuss his intentions, emphasizing the importance of not wanting to harm him.
Abruptly, the dog transformed back into a human. Sirius now bore the ravages of his time in Azkaban: a gaunt, sunken visage, waxy pallor, yellowed teeth, and unkempt, matted hair. He resembled a near-corpse, a testament to the torment he had endured.
