The pretty perfect mansion

"They're with me , let us pass ."Ellie commanded the guards .

"You know if she ends up being your sister in law don't say I didn't tell you in advance . "Luacs whispered in my ears

"Sure , let's see what is the possibilty of that happening in the next hundred years . "

"And what if I live upto one hundred and one years , then there's a possibility . God , I know she's always jealous of my smartness , just give her some . "

he continuied his non existant blabberish with god on how much I needed his type of brains .

I ignored him while trying to assess my surrondings

"Umm, Ellie , There's a thing that I wanted to ask ?"

"For sure tell me ."

"Is there a way I we can take up a place for residence here ? The place we've been living at is about 30 or 40 miles from here and I don't think we'd be able to survive any longer with grapples.?"

"Grapples?"

"Red balls oif juicy fleshy , tangy in flavor , tasty as heaven ."Lucas loved them

"Parkhsarev ? That's what we call it. "

"Grapples sound better though . "Lucas nudged me

"Oh wait , you told me you ATE  those?"Ellie's white face lost all it's color in a matter of seconds. 

"Yeah , They were the only thing I could find edible in the forest. "

"OH MY GOD ! They're poisonous , my gosh how much did you eat. "

"2 dozens probably , I think you're mistaking it for something else Ellie, we're perfectly fine . See. "

"You do seem pretty fine for eating 2 dozens of poison . I'm sorry for scaring you people , I can panic a bit too muchsome times . "

"You want a residence here , correct me if heard wrong . Well the procedures not very long it's just that you'd need to seek the king's permission first . I can help you get a court with the king in less time . "

"You'd be one of the biggest helps to us , Till then we'll take a look at the town too . "

She wrote her address on a piece of parchment and handed it to us , apparently she told us to visit ver we were done with the tour . She'd like us to meet with her family and her fiance .

It seemed all a bit too quick to start with , she believed us way too much than she should've . But I wasn't complaining . Getting a fancy place to stay town we know SO MUCH about , thank the lord for this treatment for once .

"She's a bit too sweet , isn't she ?"

"Does that matter , Place to sleep , A roof to keep and Food to eat . That's what we want and that's what we get . nothing more nothing less ."Lucas was clearly happy with the fast course of actions .

For now

We were travelling along the the beautiful gravel path that had been precisely cut and crafted . Masonry at it's finest. We took turns on the path not knowing where we had been going .

The sun had set before we even knew it and the fun was just starting , the streets had been pretty quiet in the day time but as the day set in , the evenings rose with a huge crowds of vendors , traders , smiths and their customers negotiating for the best of everything .

It was nine and we were heading to the place that the parchment lead us to . I hope it's not a trick .

We ringed the bell outside the huge mansion where we were led waiting to be tricked.

That's one hell of a house .

The door was opened by an elegant lady probably in her fifties . She was confused because who would call hooligans into such a beautiful household .

We gave her the parchment that Ellie had given us and she recoginized the writing and led us into the house opening into a grand entrance .

We were told to wait a while as Ellie was being informed of our presence . We felt heavy thud from where the starcase was . It was a man . A polished person , who looked as if he had been under the discipline of army for way to long . Maybe I would've turned like that if I didn't leave the millitary regiment .

He greeted us with a slight bow addressing us respectfully . We bowed a full 60 degrees to show our ultimate gratitude for the fine time to dine .

We knew our ettiquettes way too well , afterall we grew up with the nobles

well ofcourse before they were all killed .

He did seem to be a bit surprised for us to be well knowledged in manners , Judging by our looks we exactly looked like  people Ellie would've called for giving charity to.

Then finally after an eternity she showed up .

She was pretty but way too naive . If it wasn't for her father , she wouldn't have survived . I wish I could be like her someday , naive , free , scared of nothing , nothing to envy , nothing to lose .

"Dad , these are the travellers I'd been talking about since I returned . Meet Lucas and Jasmine . Lucas , Jasmine , Meet my dad . "

She introduced us formally to her family , just her and her parents .

We sat in silence awkwardly not knowing how to bwgin the conversation .

"So how was the town . Found something you like . "

"Ask us what did we not like and then we'd have to think . "Lucas answered .

"I am delighted to hear that you liked the town . By the way I didn't ask you , what were you going to do after settling in mystic . "She asked hesitantly careful not to be disrespectful .

"Well , I would think of submitting to be a scholar at the court , it would be a waste of me if I didn't "Lucas replied

Ellie got a point to start the the conversation and jumped right onto it . Her mother also engaged in the conversation quite well , seems like she was fond of books .

what would I do when I settle in . How would I reach him ? How would I decide who is this "him"?

I was captured in the web of my thoughts when a sudden coarse voice went through my ears .

"And what would the yound lady do?" The general asked intrigued , maybe he read my face after the question being asked to Lucas .

"I was training as a soldier before . So, I'd continue to seek for a suitable job to serve my purpose. "
The general seem surprised by the choice of my occupation , it wasn't the first time though . Soldier training wasn't considered pretty much lady-like. Maybe in future people will realize that battlefield does not discriminate , only the finale of the battle matters , no one remebers how you won or how you lost ,the history remains with just a little piece of information .
