It's 6:00AM, I just woke up to my alarm that I'm trying to stop. I think to myself, "Wow, summer is already over and it's the first day of sophomore year." I get up and go to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I hope today goes smoothly. I head downstairs to make some breakfast and I already see my mom awake, watching TV. I say good morning and make my bagel and smoothie. I head back upstairs to do my makeup, hair, and wear my uniform. I stare into the mirror, knowing my heart is pounding so fast, but I can't be nervous, I'm literally a sophomore. I realize that it's 6:50 and that I should be leaving right now. My mom and I leave the house and go pick up my friend so we can carpool. We arrive to her house and my mom says, "Hey Maggie! Come sit in the back." Maggie and I have been best friends since we were 3, she's the sweetest soul I know. We now are on the way to school, and my heart is still pounding. I don't even know why, there is no reason to be nervous. And as soon as you know it, we get to school and Maggie and I are walking in.
