Maggie and I only have a few classes together, so we have to part our ways once the bell rings. Everyone greets each other in the hallways, and me and Maggje look for Nicolette and Lainey. Our other best friends. People say we're the purest friend group in the grade, and I have to agree. The bell rings which indicates the start of homeroom. None of my girls are in my HR, so I have to find it alone. I walk into it, room 207. The teacher makes everyone stand to the side to assign our seats. The announcements then finish and the bell rings again. I have to go to US. History, I hate history and to top it off none of my best friends are in this class.
I'm the first person to walk in and the teacher lets me know that we can pick our seats. I pick the seat next to the window because I love sunlight in the 4th row. More people finally walk in, and then this one boy does that catches my attention. We make eye contact for a couple of seconds, and then right away he sits next to me. He introduces himself, "Hey, I'm Davian, is it cool if I sit here?" I think to myself, "Well, you already sat down," but instead I say "Yea, sure! My name is Aria" I know this boy is new because our school is so small and last year our class only had 65 kids. I stare at Davian because he truly looks handsome and he stares back. We talk for a little bit about how we were both nervous, but then I see another boy walk in.
Matthew. Matthew is the worst person I have ever met. I met him last year, and he made it the worst. Matthew and I always flirted, called, hung out, and dated. But he was a manipulative, lying, cheater. But I still have the smallest feelings for him. I can't convince myself to move on though, but I know I should. I just stare at him and then I hear, "Aria, are you good?" Coming from Davian. He see's me staring at Matthew and then I say "Yea, sorry, what were you saying?" He continues, but the teacher interrupts, introducing herself. The rest of class goes by and before I get up, Davian stops me and asks for my number. Matthew hears and turns around, and I then give it to him. I didn't want Matthew to see that, but I really need to move on. The bell rings and I head to my next class.
