Arush and I sprang into action as soon as we exited the college gates. We walked past several blocks, and finally reached the fountain. Arush turned right towards the store while I took a left to find the flower shop. After navigating a few turns, I found the shop and quickly picked out three bouquets. I hurried back to the fountain, but just as I was nearing it, it began to rain heavily. I cursed internally, realizing that I hadn't bought an umbrella because we were in a rush. The traffic was jammed, and when I checked my wristwatch, it read 11:05. The seminar must have already started. Frustration surged through me as I tried to figure out how to figure out the situation.

I spotted Arush across the street, running towards me with purpose. As he reached me, he shielded me from the downpour by guiding me under a small roof. His hair was damp, with raindrops clinging to his lashes, and he was looking at me with this intense, focused stare. The chill from the rain made me shiver, and I felt goosebumps pop up all over my skin.

He surprised me by taking off his jacket and draping it over my shoulders. Then, he took the bouquets from me and motioned for me to put on the jacket. I was a bit confused but went ahead, only to realize my white kurti had turned see-through from the rain. I was suddenly super embarrassed, feeling exposed and self-conscious.

Arush's grey T-shirt was soaked, clinging to his muscles, and I couldn't help but notice how his fit physique was visible through the wet fabric. I caught myself staring and quickly looked away, my face flushing as my heartbeat raced and my breathing got shallow.

He turned back to me, and when our eyes met, I tried to avoid his gaze. But before I could figure out what he was about to say, he gently grabbed my wrist. His lips moved to speak, "RUN"

As soon as I hear him say something, my body instinctively syncs with his, and we start running. We dash across the street, splashing through puddles, with Arush holding my hand tightly, guiding me through the chaos, and even though the rain was pouring around us, his presence made everything else fade away.

The subway stairs are slippery, and as we descend, my footwear skids on the smooth surface. I lose my balance and brace myself for the fall, eyes squeezed shut.

But just before I hit the ground, I feel a strong pull on my hand, followed by another arm wrapping around my waist, pulling me close and saving me from crashing down. I open my eyes slowly and look up to see Arush's face inches from mine. His gaze flicks from my eyes to my lips and back, making my heart race so loudly I can hear it in my ears. I struggle to catch my breath as he pants heavily and asks, "Are you okay?"

I quickly pull away, my hands retreating from his chest where I had grabbed to balance myself. "I'm fine," I say, trying to sound casual but feeling embarrassed.

We continue through the subway, slowing down as we finally make our way toward the college gates. We slip into the premises and dash toward the auditorium, slipping in through the back door to avoid the crowd. Paul and Jay are waiting for us in the backstage room. They stare at us, mouths hung open when they see us drenched in rain, still panting heavily.
