Chapter 8 Etsuko' - Someone like me

I coudn't believe Amunet said something like that, is that what she thought of me? I didn't hate her of course, but I definitely needed some time alone. When I started running, everything suddenly became quiet and black. I was so confused and kept walking around to see or hear anything. After a short while I heard a scream, something that sounded like a "Wait" or "No". I also think that was a voice of a young girl? Just as I stopped for a second to turn around , then proceded to move forward I regained my vision. I stopped almost at the edge of a cliff that lead to a smaller lake. I took deep breaths and stepped away. When I looked behind me I saw a girl with black and red hair with two smaller buns while the rest of the hair was pretty lose and messy . That was probably the voice I heard. She seemed relieved and I decided to start a conversation.

- Thank you for warning me ...i don't know what happend, everything seemed so dark and weird. I coudn't see anything

- you are talking to me, yes?

She seemed a little confused, so I just noded and then she continued talking

- i'm glad you're safe. My name is Marika, and yours?

She was speaking to me but her eyes were everywhere like she coudn't focus at all. At first it felt like she was mentally ill, i thought she might have been one of la vie en rose's victims?

- when I was walking around i suddenly saw darkness..complete darkness but i still was in the forest. Do you know what could have happend?

I decided to repeat the situation again as she didn't seem to catch what I was saying the first time, maybe she will be able to tel to wl me anything.

- ooh, that? Sorry! I didn't mean too I swear! I didn't know somebody was around! I usually avoid people for that reason...

The only thing I could do was to smile , what did she mean by "for that reason", why was it supposed to be her fault? I coudn't make sense of anything. We went back and forth for a while.

- are you alright? You're not hurt anywhere, yes?

She asked me while looking me up for any sign of injury.

- you asked me that already, I am fine ...but could you please explain what you said in the begining..?

- you are a real person right? You are here, you are talking to me..?

- of course i am, why would you even... can we please go back to the ...

I started too feel a little frustrated, it was hard to keep my nice tone...and then she interrupted me yet again.

- are you hungry?

- no.

- well, I think you deserve some... explaination.

(Oh my god)

- yes? can you tell me ...what did you meant by "i didn't mean to" and "for that reason"?

- i was tested on...almost from birth by some people, and well i can be off putting cause my brain got fried or something so I act a little weird. I didn't realize you're near and i must have activated my powers without knowing. Happens all the time, i sometimes don't even know what is real or not.

She said it with a smile on her face, i didn't even know how to respond, it felt so unreal? I have so many questions.
