The muscles of her fingers moved once, twice, thrice indicating she's coming back to her senses. Moving her head, she barely managed to open her eyes for the first few seconds as all the lights of the room were on. It was already morning and Graham was last seen storming out of his room. Adjusting her view finally, she found herself lying on the bed. "How did I get on the bed? I remember I was lying on the floor..." she murmured few words by herself  when a voice made her fix her gaze towards coffee table. "You woke up? Amazing. Are you feeling better?" the voice asked. "Trevor you? Where is he?" Jocelyn asked looking at Trevor's who was pouring a bottle of apple juice in the glass. "I had to come here today to help my brother with some work as uncle is not here you know? But coming here I came to what mess is going on between you both. So I came to check on you thinking if you're okay or not. And look I was right, I found you lying unconsciuos on the floor. Here have it. You'll feel more energetic." Trevor handed the glass of juice to her before sitting on the bed beside her. "I hope he didn't do anything serious to you?" he asked as Jocelyn blanklessly stared into the glass in her hand. "I don't think." a sigh escaped her lips. "Trevor, I don't understand your cousin. He acts good now and in the next moment he's the worst. Why is he like this? He says I came to destroy his previous love. But trust me I don't even know who she might be then how can I intend to do any such thing?" she asked sipping onto the juice while Trevor's brows twitched. "Wait did he really say that you want to destroy his previous love life?"
"Yes he keeps saying that. Over and over again. Even today, while cleaning his cupboard, I spotted a very beautiful female locket kept in a small hidden drawer that I never saw before. It had a 'G'and a 'H' beside it. If I assume that the 'G' indicates Graham's name, then who could that 'H' named person be? And the fact is that he became uncontrollably angry after he saw me holding it. It's so confusing. Trevor you are his cousin. Do you know something about this locket? Trevor? You listening? Trevor? Hey?" Trevor was lost deep in some kind of thought until Jocelyn snapped back him to reality. "Oh... Yeah... Jocelyn.. I'm listening... Yeah I heard you all. It's very suspicious why Graham does that. I'll try to make him understand if I can. But now I think it's time for me to leave. Bye take care of yourself..." he rushed out of the room in  speed of light as if Jocelyn's every words made him remind of something he doesn't want to recall anymore. It felt like her every words burned down his skin reminding something forbidden from the past. "Wait Tre— what happened to him so suddenly?" she confusingly spoke to herself.
Trevor left the mansion with hurried steps. He was sweating and his expressions seemed like he was in frustration. "A lot could've happened 8 years ago. I can't tolerate this anymore. Enough of this shi—" suddenly his phone started ringing. Taking it out from his pocket, he looked confusingly at the unknown number. At first, he didn't picked up thinking it may be some junk calls and the call got cut automatically. But another call came after few seconds later from the same number which made Trevor to pick it up. "Hello? How can I help?" he spoke to the person on the phone, but the moment he realized what he's hearing, made his heart skip few beats. "WTF? I..is it true?" he voice was full of shock, confusion and excitement. "I am coming. I'm coming right now." he cut the call after listening to whatever the person on the other side told him. Desperately jumping inside his car, he turned the engine on with his shaky hands and drove the car in high speed as if he got vanished into thin air.
Timeskip
Jocelyn was lying on the bed with closed eyes, rubbing the scar on her neck aggressively in the hope that it'll give some relief. Unfortunately, the last ointment in the first aid box was over which made her feel disturbed even more. Suddenly the sound of the door knob twitching made her sit straight on the bed with a jerk and look towards the door horrified. Graham closed the door from inside locking his eyes straight into hers. She sat there froze unable to speak as the first thing that caught her attention was him holding a new ointment on his hand. Awkwardly coming forward, the moment he tried to sit on the bed, Jocelyn tried to get up from her place, but he quickly hold her wrist causing her to halt on her place. She gave him a terrified look while his face was soft. "Don't rub like that, it'll only increase the pain." he said in a tender voice. "Leave my hand..." she said before starting to struggle hard against his grip but as always her efforts were of no use. "Stop. I promise I'll be no harm." he said in a low voice. His heart clenched seeing her getting so miserably scared because of him but what made him feel more uncomfortable, is that the reddish swollen finger mark around her neck region. "Don't touch me just stay away..." she whispered in a begging tone that for some unknown reason made his heart sink in guilt. "Jocelyn calm down. I won't hurt you this time." he said as she continued struggling to get rid of his grip. "You will definitely. That's the only thing you like giving me no matter what." she said as eyes started to feel heavier with tears. "Listen to me once." his heart shattered for unknown reason looking at her struggling so bad to get rid of his touch. "Whatever you're saying is fake. You don't mean it.." she said trembling against him. "Jocel—" he tried to convince her but she again got the flashbacks of him choking the life out of her and in the next moment, she bursted in silent crying. Seeing her condition, he pulled her into a protective and comforting hug, while she tried her best to push him away. But she knows he's stubborn and her efforts won't succeed, so she finally stopped struggling against him and cried endlessly. "Cry all you want but let me heal you please." he said in the softest tone trying to calm her down while hugging her so tenderly close to his chest as if his slightest force will break her fragile body. After few minutes he broke the hug, looking at her face who was looking at the other way trying not to face him. Without forcing her to face him or speak something, he silently opened the ointment lid and started applying the medicine to her wounded area. She flinched when he touched that area followed by letting out a hiss at the paining sensation but cooled down the moment he blew air on her wound to ease away her pain. All this moment she sat quietly and let him do whatever he wanted to do. Few minutes later he was done. Putting the ointment on the nightstand, he faced her and tried to wipe away her tears but stopped in the middle seeing her still getting anxiety. "I will sleep in some other room tonight. You can sleep in our bed. Good night." he said before getting up from the bed and heading towards the door. She sat back facing, not glancing at him as he sighed after not receiving a last glance from her. "I..i am sorry." the words automatically slipped from his lips. What made him say that, he doesn't know. Hearing him apologize she jerked her head to face him. She never heard him apologize to anyone before and it was her first time hearing sorry from him. They shared a brief second of eye contact before he closed the door and left. "You don't mean it Graham. These words doesn't carry any weight. The more I try to accept our relationship, at the end, you keep messing up. You don't deserve my forgiveness Graham. I cannot forgive you for all worst feeling you make me feel."
