The office of Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts, was a place where time seemed to bend. The walls held secrets etched by centuries of whispered conversations. The Sorting Hat sat on a shelf, its frayed brim sagging as if pondering the fate of the school. And now, Severus Snape and Minerva McGonagall stood before the ancient desk, their animosity palpable.

Snape's voice dripped with disdain. "Minerva, your bleeding heart blinds you. These two—Potter and Weasley—have flouted every rule. Their recklessness endangers us all."

McGonagall's stern expression matched her animagus form—a tabby cat with fur standing on end. "Severus, they saved Ginny Weasley's life. Surely that counts for—"

"Counts for nothing!" Snape interrupted. "Heroics without consequences breed chaos. We must—"

Dumbledore's office door swung open, and the headmaster entered, his robes trailing like comet tails. His eyes twinkled, but there was steel in his gaze. Snape's lip curled. "And what, Albus, is the heart of Hogwarts?"

Dumbledore leaned on his desk. "Why, it's bravery, of course. The courage to face darkness, to protect one another. Potter and Weasley embody that spirit."

McGonagall crossed her arms. "But Severus insists on expulsion."

Dumbledore's eyes crinkled. "Ah, Severus, always the strict professor. But I see a loophole—a way to balance justice and gratitude."

Both professors leaned in, intrigued.

Dumbledore continued, "A curse—one that will teach them empathy. A gender curse."

Snape raised an eyebrow. "Gender curse?"

"Yes," Dumbledore said. "For the remainder of their Hogwarts years, Harry and Ron shall experience life as witches. They will learn firsthand the challenges faced by their female peers. And perhaps, in doing so, they will grow wiser."

Harry's eyes widened. "But sir, we—"

Dumbledore held up a hand. "Fear not, my young Gryffindors. The curse is reversible, but only when you've performed a truly selfless act—one that transcends house rivalries and personal gain."

Ron gulped. "And if we fail?"

Dumbledore's eyes twinkled. "Then you shall remain witches until graduation. Now, Severus, Minerva, what say you?"

Snape's sneer deepened. "A gender curse? It's unorthodox."

McGonagall's tail twitched. "But it might just work."

Dumbledore nodded. "Agreed. Harry, Ron, you have a choice: accept the curse or face expulsion."

Harry exchanged a glance with Ron. "We accept, Headmaster."

Having no other way they walked out annyoed....
