No One's POV

*THUNK!*

The sound of two hard and strong pieces of wood hitting each other was heard within the shallow room.

The sounds echoed through the stable air, which was slightly electrified but not to the point of being noticable by normal humans.

Cutting through the air, with graceful and swift movements, a long wooden stick, with one side being more sharpened than the other, as if resembling a blunt wooden sword, was swung.

It collided with another wooden sword just like it, one in the same.

"Your technique is brilliant. You're clearly not ordinary woman." The male voice of our protagonist praised the female he was locked in friendly combat with.

Standing opposite to him, was Raiden Mei, her stance speaking clearly for her. She held a defensive stance rather than an offensive one, which was weird since Alastor has yet to actually take an offensive approach.

Situated within the closed wooden walls of a rented dojo, the two talented combatants clashed with one another, but Alastor was careful with his strength.

Knowing full well that Mei, despite her talent, skill and potential, still remained a normal human as of yet, Alastor did not wish to bring her harm. His superior strength as an android would put him at a severe advantage.

But of course, even though his weapon of choice inst normally a sword, by no means was he bad at it. If anything, Alastor seemed to be quite talented in using a blade.

Mei was surprised. She even enquired whether he had trained earlier, to which he replied by saying he had some prior experience but not much. Unlike Mei, he didn't dedicate his life to hone his own blade.

Though his weapon of choice was in fact, a blade... It was not a sword. He preferred longer, two-handed weapons with which he could be fast and still pack power.

"Thank you, Alastor. I could say the same about you. You're technique is brilliant as well." Mei responded while throwing another attack, which was parried.

"So was this what you were after ?" She asked, her eyes slightly downcast.

That question of hers managed to irritate Alastor, who scoffed at her.

He then disappeared from her line of sight, before reappearing in front of her and smacking her. Mei could barely block this one. Alastor then sweeped her feet off the ground and she fell on her back roughly.

Feeling pain, Mei winced a little and opened her eyes to look at the man that glared down at her.

"Do not speak of such nonsense before me. You are my friend. I need nothing of you. Understand that well." His tone wasn't sweet or nice. It was firm and harsh.

It wasn't a kind clarification. It was a correction. A firm one.

"I am not after anything. You have nothing to offer me. I have already mastered the blade and hence, does not seek your sword skills. Additionally, I prefer a scythe, over a katana."

His foot stepped on the wooden sword and kicked it forward, making it slide across the wooden flooring until it was just out of her reach.

She looked down at her weapon, and then back up at Alastor, who just stared down at her with his peculiar crimson eyes.

"Pick it up." He said.

Firmness.

It remained strong in his voice. The firmness never left.
