An Instagram animator that I really like just got his account hacked ;-;
Me having to take a Zoom class for a certification: OMG it's 10:01 and it's supposed to start at 10:00!!! OMG AM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG?! WHY HASN'T THE MEETING STARTED?! Let it be known that Munchy is viscerally terrified of tardiness.
I got a cute new game called Love, Ghostie. It's very sweet and I like it a lot. You play ad a ghost and the goal is to matchmake the residents of your haunted manor. It made me feel better after a particularly angering thing happened.
"Hired Again" from Arcade Spirits is so powerful in its simplicity. It's literally only eight notes on repeat. No elaborate instrumentation. Just a synth. And it fills my heart with such melancholy. It probably wouldn't impact me so much without the context. Still, there are plenty of emotional moments from Arcade Spirits: The New Challengers, but the music in those moments don't resonate with me as much as this stripped down, gentle melody.
I feel like nowadays I only ever kin characters in an unfortunate way. Like, I kin Mae Borowski, who is sympathetic but still sometimes aggravating to her loved ones, and Scott Pilgrim, who honestly does suck. He gets better by the end but... ick.
Edit: Also Zenitsu. I love Zenitsu so much, and I have boundless affection for him, but a lot of people really HATE Zenitsu and I completely understand why. And I kin him, too.
Oh my GOD I can't believe I figured this out! I've had the soundtrack "Tears" from Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop stuck in my head for the past few hours. And I've been watching The Dangers in My Heart, and thinking about how Tears fits in with the Dangers OST REALLY well. And I'll be damned! Kensuke Ushio composed both soundtracks!
Someone just compared the Omori friend group to the Anohana friend group and that's so incredibly true.
I'm sure I've talked about Ginro before here. He's one of THOSE kinds of characters I've expressed fondness for (Y'know, Kazuichi, Berdly, Zenitsu, etc). But damn. I love Ginro. He's a lazy coward but he can Do it when it Freaking Counts and it's so FUN whenever he saves the day. And the one time he morally CAN'T do it when it counts, it winds up saving someone's life. So like. I love this little stinker and he doesn't get nearly enough appreciation.
I'm so sad about soundtracks that are on Spotify but not available in my country. Paranormasight AND 1000xResist???? Those OST's are BEAUTIFUL. I want "Watcher Haunted" on my playlist so badly. Also, play 1000xResist. Evie, I know you're taking a video games and literature class. 1000xResist is SUCH incredible literature.
MYSIMS ON THE SWITCH! MYSIMS ON THE SWITCH! Oh my God, guys, I've been excited for a lot of 2024 gaming news but this makes me more personally excited than anything arguably could! I thought the series was dead! It's been over ten years since a new installment—closer to fifteen! And we're getting a rerelease! My heart is so unbelievably happy.
