if you've watched the first 2 movies you'll understand where
this comes from so i'll share mine on his point of view
my theory on him was he never had friends he could hangout
with because he's very shy towards everybody and judging by
like each movies, his boss is very strict with the jobs and he
(Fairy Gary) takes his job serious at the dust depot where
dust-keeper fairies work and because of this, he had no time to
make friends to anyone and if he isn't working, he studies things
that's dust-keeper fairies and pixie dust related so he can learn
new things incase he needs it and put it in practice in the future
not only is Fairy Gary this serious about his work to get things
done, he's also strict with the rules about giving pixie dust to
others, 1 cup per day or something like that, they have to stick with
that rule at all times so with other words: without any exceptions
that explains the fight he had with Tinkerbell in "The Lost Treasure"
movie about getting pixie dust, i mean can you imagine someone
ask you about something and you just sticks by the rules so the
answer is no? i'd probably answered the same thing Terence said
it also explains why he's a minor character in like each movies except
"Tinkerbell And The Lost Treasure" where he's the main character with
Tinkerbell, because when he's around Tinkerbell, no one else is around
her and the opposite happens too, each time the others are around,
he isn't around
the closest interractions he had other then Tinkerbell was Silvermist
in "The Lost Treasure" maybe they were a thing before Tink was born
but broke up because neither of them have feelings for each other
but promised if something happens they stays friends or something
(Silvermist was the one who calmed him down when he was upset
about a fight with Tinkerbell and adviced him to leave things be for
now untill she cools off)
in the deleted scene which is supposed to take place after his
arguments with Tinkerbell, he's sitting on a tree when he sees
Rosetta, iridessa and Fawn if not mistaken and try to make friends
with them but it didn't turned out to way it did for him, why did
they deleted that scene in the movie? (i wished each of the deleted
scenes were in the movie)
in the other scene he was still upset about his fights with Tinkerbell
and talked to an OWL about his struggles when he could've talked
to other fairies like Tink's friends, Clank, Bobble, Fairy Mary or
Fairy Gary, i mean Fairy Mary is the boss from the Tinker fairies,
Clank and Bobble works with her and her 4 friends knows her he
can ask for advices, he don't have to tell them the whole thing
but still and of course Fairy Gary because he's the boss from
the dust-keeper fairies, he already seemed to know Terence
have a crush on Tinkerbell so he'll know if something is up
with him and ask him what's wrong so he can advice Terence
how to deal with a situation or atleast try to cheer him up
judging by his point of view with everything he had a boring
life untill Tinkerbell was born so he finally felt appreciated by
someone once he told her about his talent and he's glad he
could help in a way even though he didn't said much in the
first movie and by the look on his face he's relieved to hear
Tinkerbell treats him as like a person and not as just
someone who delivers pixie dust to other fairies
Tinkerbell found it ridiculous Terence talks bad about his
talent how his talent isn't important and explained without
his talent no one is able to fly but by doing so she realized the
importance as a Tinker and decided to stay in pixie hollow to
fix the mess she have created and save spring
the next in "The Lost Treasure" changed everything between
Tinkerbell and Terence like yeah they fought TWICE, one with
the scepter and the other about the pixie dust with the rule
thing and accidently told each other they aren't true friends
that left them both being upset and it stayed like that for a bit
both characters regretted the things they have said to each other
after the talk with an owl, Terence went to visit Tink's home to
apologize and finish where they have left off just to find out
why she needed pixie dust from him so badly and went after
Tinkerbell after he discovered the moonstone that was broken
and figured Tinkerbell was in a big trouble on her adventure
to find the mirror for the final wish so in his case it WAS an
emergency so he broke the rules for her on purpose since he
still cares about Tink's well-beings so he got covered everything
up, did damage control and he didn't told anyone a single thing
about the situation with Tinkerbell
when Terence found out about the moonstone he wasn't angry
nor dissapointed at all, instead he was more concerned for
Tinkerbell then anything else so that explains why he kept it
to himself this whole times for the sake of Tinkerbell
(maybe that explains how he knew which way to go outside
pixie hollow even if it took the whole day for him to find Tink)
once Tinkerbell was so upset about everything, she called for
Terence and hoped they were still friends in which he answered
they ARE friends, both apologized about their flaws and the last
time they have spoken to each other and once Tink wished he
was with her he wanted to surprise her with a sudden visit
since he was literally standing behind her without Tinkerbell
noticing it and once he tapped on her shoulder they reunited
and hugged each other, he knew she was upset about the
whole situation thing with the fall scepter
they had adventures together and got chased by rats but
Terence didn't seems to mind as long as he's with Tink and
once all this was over they returned back to pixie hollow while
in a short amount of time they worked on the fall scepter so
they can show the fall scepter to everybody
it's a shame he was barely seen after the second movie they
remained friend in "The Great Fairy Rescue" but that's just it
i think he IS important in pixie hollow but he's misunderstood
by like everybody, both fairies and by Disney fairies fansi mean without him who knows what could happen to
Tinkerbell in the first 2 movies? spring wasn't saved and
Tinkerbell wouldn't have returned back to pixie hollow and
the pixie dust tree would grow weaker and weaker untill
there are no pixie dust left if Terence didn't came to look
for Tinkerbell outside pixie hollow, he really helped her
in a way and he learned her nearly everythinghe's one of my favourites from the Tinkerbell movies
(i always did since he first appeared)
