Chapter 8

They just pulled up to the diner and Charlie turned off her car and they both got out of the car and headed inside of the diner they were looking around for john and carlton spotted him and they walked up to him john looked different from what charlie remembered from the last time she saw him he looked unkempt and his clothing looked ragged, Charlie it's great to see you again and you too carlton the way he sounded seemed a little aggressive a little fear came across charlie and carlton felt the same they both took a seat across from him, "So charlie how's life and hows Dave"  john asked now this time he sounded like he was mocking her at this point carlton held charlies hand a little and charlie gave him the ¨thanks i needed that¨ look. Well my lifes been ok and Daves been doing great he's been working and he gets paid really well she put a fake smile on, john why did you want to meet up with me she asked shakingly He gave them a mischievous grin and said "Charlie i want you back i miss us being together i love you", Charlies heart started racing rapidly and Carlton shocked. Carlton got up and excused himself to go to the bathroom and charlie was left with john she kept her eyes down almost and said "john i haven't seen you in 10 years and your saying you want us to be together i'm with dave you suddenly disappeared and you suddenly show up", her voice sounded agitated,john was looking at her with anger, "I Left because you chose to stay with Dave you don't remember what he caused and you don't remember what dramatic experience and trauma he put us through i mean he put carlton in springlock suit and he almost killed you" at this point carlton got back and charlie got up with anger Carlton lets go she said while grabbing her keys, John looked at her and said maybe we can meet another time charlie and carlton walked to her car and started driving back to her house.
