Chapter 9

When charlie and Carlton got back to her place it was 11:30, Jessica was in the living room watching a movie and marla was nowhere in sight "oh hey guys where were you both" she asked while getting up and stretched,she looked like she was sleeping while they have been gone Jessica's blonde hair was a mess and her blue eyes were half awake she was wearing orange tank top and black shorts she wasn't wearing any socks and one her lap was her blanket the she brought with her.

Carlton hugged Jessica and said "sorry me and Charlie wanted to go for a drive so we did", Jessica smiled"Where is everyone" charlie asked while getting a drink from the kitchen jessica paused her movie and looked at her and said "well Marla and Lamar went out to lunch and they were going to meet up with Lamar's parents and when we woke up dave disappeared we were guessing that he went to work", Charlie nodded "so was he looking for me or anything" she asked while taking a sip of her raspberry ice tea, jessica started speaking again "well he asked where you were and me marla and lamar all said we didn't know and then before he left he left you a note its on the table we haven't looked or touched it", charlie walked to the table and picked up the note and it read:

Charlie where did you go?, i woke up and you were gone the others didn't know where you were hopefully i will see you later tonight maybe you can explain

Charlie laughed quietly, "Well, he does get a little protective when i dont tell him that I don't tell him that I'm going places" she thought. She looked at jessica and carlton who were watching the movie that jessica was watching before, "so where were you guys" jessica asked with a mysterious grin finally charlie knew she had to tell the truth of where they were so charlie sat down and explained about meeting up with john and what information she got from john after when she was done talking jessica sat in silence for a short time and then she finally spoke He's not the same anymore Johns turned into a stranger, While growing up John was the kind child he was always willing to share his animal crackers and was always up for adventures now those memories were gone and so was john, they heard the back door opened in came Marla and Lamar with shopping bags. Jessica had promised charlie that she would keep her Meeting with john a secret, "Hey guys whats going on" Marla asked Excitedly she was wearing a black skirt with red shirt and sunglasses over her eyes "Oh nothing were just talking about stuff" jessica said and she winked at carlton who was on his laptop he smiled and winked back at her well,
" i'm going to go upstairs and put the bags in our room" said lamar while putting his car keys on the key hook and then he walked over to marla and she handed the bags to him and he took them and walked upstairs, Charlie remembered Lamar as a quiet and smart child he enjoyed reading and science when all of them were 6 Lamar liked collecting bugs he would watch and study them for hours. When charlie snapped back into reality she saw marla and jessica talking and she saw carlton making a sandwich she looked at the clock and the time showed 7:00pm, then there was a knock at the door.
