I stirred awake a few hours later, only to find Macau sitting next to me. I tried to sit up, and he quickly held onto me, calling out to Kinn, who rushed from the bathroom.

Kinn called the doctor, who did a check on me and cleared me, saying a few more hours of bed rest will do the trick. I nodded, looking at Macau, who had been very worried. He gripped my hands tightly and kissed it softly. I just ruffled his hair, stating I was fine. Just then, Porsche and Chay entered. Chay was really happy to see me all fine, and he rushed to my other side, holding onto my hand and thanking me softly. I wasn't quite used to this gesture and just nodded, saying I was fine and withdrew my hand, patting his head.

Porsche chuckled. "Is my brother a puppy to you, Vegas?"

"No..why?" I stuttered hesitantly, looking at him confused.

"Why do you pat his head like he's a puppy dog then, P?" Macau teased. I growled as I rolled my eyes as their jokes sunk in. I looked over at Chay, who just grinned at me good, naturedly touching his own hair. The boys decided to leave me to rest for a bit. P Porsche asked Macau to join them for dinner. I told Macau to go on ahead first. He nodded, promising to come back and check on me later.

I laid back, about to make myself comfortable when the door opened again. Thinking it was Macau, I just muttered cheekily, "Cant wait to see your P, is it? When did you become this loving?"

There wasn't the usual snarky response from Macau, so I looked up and realized it was Chay.

"Chay? Is everything ok? Why are you back?"

Chay looked at me, shuffling his feet awkwardly.

"I just wanted to come thank you P for saving me and...I am glad nothing happened to you. I... was really praying you be fine. It..wouldn't sit well..knowing if anything had happened to you."

Before I could say anything else, Chay ran off. I just blinked my eyes once, then twice, letting his words sink in. He prayed for me? That was hardly something I heard in the same sentence, especially with the word "fine" in the mix, too. I let his words wash over me for a bit, sinking in, and then a smile flitted over my face. It was really nice to know that someone had been thinking of me too, in a positive manner and not so much of wanting to kill me.

I was much better by the 4th day. The boys were starting to go out again. P Thun was in Geneva too for another issue, and we had ascertained the men sent to kill us wasn't his. It assuaged one worry but brought about another. Who was it, then that was trying to kill us? But we did not want to dampen the Christmas spirit, so everyone still did their plans, albeit with more security. Macau and I managed to spend 2 days together, but Chay did tag along for one of it at Macau's insistence. I was fine as he wasn't much trouble.

We went hiking at one of the mountain areas one of the days. Macau had really been wanting to do it, so Chay and I went along for it.

The mountains were gorgeous, and I watched as both boys scampered ahead of me. I decided to take it slower to enjoy the views. I noticed there were quite a number of couples, and it was nice. I guess to watch them hold hands and take in the views together. I just watched with a tinge of envy as I knew that was something that could never happen to me.

We soon reached the top, and Macau wanted to take photos. We took a few solo and group shots, and then Chay offered to take of Macau and me together. I slung my hands over Macau carelessly as we smiled for the photos. By smile, I meant Macau grinned cheekily while I managed to squeeze out a small one. Then Macau offered to take one of Chay and me together. Chay spluttered while I said it wasn't necessary, but Macau wasn't having it.

So Chay was pushed onto me for a photo, and I just slung my arms around him, too, like I had done for Macau. The photo was funny; Chay had been almost petrified and was so red in the photo while I had the devil may care look. Macau chuckled at Chay and teased him while Chay just smiled, not rebutting. This fellow was really miles apart from his own brother and mine. It was a miracle that he managed to get on well with us.

As it was nearing sunset, we quickly made our way down, and I drove the boys back. They wanted to go check out the night scene, and apparently, the whole group was going. I wasn't too keen, but since everyone was going, I decided to tag along.

We all went back to our own rooms, showered and changed, and met at the lobby. Chay and my brother were wearing something similar; red shirts with jeans and sneakers. Macau had his top 2 buttons off while Chay had all of his on, but his wrists were adorned with black bracelets. That was an interesting look; it made him look almost somewhat grungy.

We all rode to the club in a nice limo that could fit our entire party. Once we entered the club, all of us separated a bit. I just sat on the couch nursing drinks with Kinn, who was knocking it back with Porsche next to him. Chay came back midway to get a breather and have a drink.

He sat next to me while nursing a cocktail. Porsche did remind him to go slow and easy on the drinks, and he agreed. Porsche and Kinn disappeared for a bit thereafter, leaving me and Chay alone at the table.

"Porsche is protective, huh?"

"He is, P. But I am OK with it. I am horrible with alcohol so it's a timely reminder."

"You are?"

"I am, P. The max I can take are 3 drinks, but by the end of the first one, you see a flush streaking through me."

I laughed seeing this Chay's incompetence over drinking.

"Be careful then. Go easy on the drinks, ok? I don't want to be looking after drunk guys tonight."

Chay nodded cheerfully before taking off again. I just leaned back, thinking how lucky he must be to be so carefree. I wish I had that chance, too.
