"Where's the other one?" Max asked as soon as he saw me waiting at the pickup area at the John Wayne Airport.

"He's at practice. Am I not good enough for you?" I asked him, reaching my arms out for a hug. Max, Justin, Ryan, Myles and Jessa just flew in for the week. They're leaving to go back home on December 24, Christmas Eve. Everyone figured it would be a good time to come down to California, we have a big home stretch until the new year, it's cold in Toronto this time of year so it's a nice change in weather, as well as they're here for my birthday!

"So he's finally playing again!" Ryan said, getting excited as he also gave me a hug.

"He is, he's been practicing for a week and a bit with the team. He's supposed to be playing again on Thursday against the Flames." I replied.

"So is he travelling with the team?" Myles asked.

"Did you guys not talk about this before making the plans for sure? He's been away on the road trip since last Tuesday and isn't coming back until tomorrow night. You guys are stuck with me for the night." I told them all. "Where's Jessa, wasn't she coming with you guys?" I asked them, looking around and realizing I wasn't getting hugged by a girl yet.

"She's in the washroom, she couldn't wait after the flight and getting through customs." Justin said.

"Ah, makes sense, customs is a bitch at this airport." I replied, we waited for a couple more minutes, just small chit chat about what we'd do for the night, the main point being that they all really wanted to meet Cadbury.

"Is that my girl?!" I heard a very familiar voice yelling down the hallway.

"Jessa!" I yelled back, running over to her, dodging random people who were in my way. "I can't believe you're here!" I wrapped my arms around her neck hugging her tightly. I usually only see her a couple times a year, mainly during the summer, but it's been so long since I've had any girl time, I really missed her.

"I'm here, I'm here, now take me to see that cute dog of yours!" She exclaimed in my ear. I laughed and led her outside to the car, I took Jamie's because he has an extra row of seats in the back so I could fit everyone in the car. My little golf would be leaving Justin behind. Yes, specifically Justin. He sings way too loudly in the car. We all got in nevertheless, and I started driving to our house, they had never actually been to California before, Jamie and I have been bugging them since we moved for them to come down at least for a few days, and of course they pick the time when Jamie's gone for half of it.

"So, what's the plan for tonight?" Myles asked once we were about halfway home.

"I don't know, I figured you guys would have a list of things you wanted to do, especially if there was somethings you want to do with Jamie specifically." I said, shrugging. "Who the fuck decided the tallest one of you needs to sit in the middle, I'm short you know, I can't see very well." I don't know who decided it was a good idea putting Max in the middle seat, but whoever thought to was dumb as hell. The guys all just laughed, it was definitely something they did on purpose, and honestly I wasn't even surprised at all.

"Sorry, Sky, it was too funny not to." Max said as he held his stomach.

"Okay, it wasn't that funny." I told them. I stayed relatively silent the rest of the car ride, laughing every once in a while at something funny someone said, barely paying any attention to it. I'm not used to driving Jamie's car, it's a lot bigger than mine so I had to pay a lot more attention whilst driving.

"This is where you live?" Jessa asked as I pulled into the driveway.

"Yes it is." I responded, turning off the car and getting out.
