This is an additional post along with the "2 - I'll Believe It When I See it" I wanted to post this too just so if someone new reads my book they could read 3 parts.
Sunday morning came, and with it, a sense of determination in Beomgyu's mind. He had a plan to prove Soobin wrong. After having coffee at home, he headed to the café with a skip in his step.
Stepping into the café, Beomgyu spotted Soobin behind the counter. This time, instead of his usual snarky banter, he feigned a soft-spoken voice and approached with a warm smile.
Soobin, who was brewing another customer's order, looked up in surprise at the unusual sight of a docile-looking Beomgyu. He raised an eyebrow, a hint of amusement in his eyes.
Beomgyu, determined to play his part, looked up at Soobin through his eyelashes and spoke in a deliberately gentle tone. "Hi. Can I have my usual order, please?"
Soobin, clearly taken aback by the sweet demeanor, quickly composed himself and nodded. "Uh, yeah. The usual, right?"
As Soobin went about preparing his order, he kept stealing curious glances at Beomgyu, half expecting the sweetness to fade any second.
Meanwhile, Beomgyu, feeling a hint of satisfaction at Soobin's surprise, kept up his act. He leaned against the counter, watching Soobin work with a small smile on his face. He even let out a soft chuckle when Soobin accidentally spilled a bit of milk.
Soobin, growing visibly perplexed at Beomgyu's unwavering sweetness, handed him his coffee with a hint of wariness. "Here's your usual. You know, you're acting... different today."
Beomgyu, still in character, feigned innocence, his eyes widened. "Different? What do you mean?"
He took a sip of his coffee, trying to contain his smug grin.
Soobin narrowed his eyes slightly, studying Beomgyu intently. "You're being... sweet. And docile. Not the usual snarky Beomgyu I'm used to. What's the catch?"
Beomgyu, still maintaining his innocent act, batted his eyelashes. "Catch? I don't know what you're talking about. Can't I just be nice today?"
He took another sip of his coffee, hiding his amusement at Soobin's growing confusion.
Soobin leaned against the counter, crossing his arms. "Beomgyu, you're never nice. Especially not first thing in the morning. You're always grumpy and sarcastic. This sweetness is highly suspicious."
Beomgyu, feeling a mix of satisfaction and mischief, chuckled softly. "Can't a guy just wake up on the right side of the bed and be nice for a change?"
He continued sipping his coffee, enjoying Soobin's increasing bewilderment.
Soobin shook his head, trying to make sense of the situation. "I don't buy it. You're up to something. No one does a complete personality turnaround overnight."
He continued scrutinizing Beomgyu, searching for any signs of the usual snark or sarcasm.
Beomgyu, now thoroughly enjoying himself, continued his act. He even added a touch of shyness to his demeanor, averting his eyes whenever Soobin looked at him directly.
Beomgyu leaned against the counter, feigning a soft smile. "I don't know what you're talking about. I'm just... being nice today. Can't you tell?"
