The spandex stretched across my skin and suddenly I felt whole again. It feels weird acting like a part of you doesn't exist. My suit was a plain black, but I had managed to remove the symbol off the arm of it. It's an organization I no longer serve.

"Are you ready?" Alek opened my door and peeked his head through, "You've been in here for a bit?"

"Yeah, It just feels good to feel like me again."

"I'm sure it does? do you remember the plan?" He raised his eyebrow at me, all seriousness in his voice.

"Find the Avengers tower, scope it out. Try and spot one of them."

"And only engage if you feel that it's safe to do so."

"I knowww Alek." I know I'm only 16 but sometimes I swear he treats me like I'm 12.

The air was warm but sharp tonight. After flinging myself through the shadows on buildings and ledges I finally made it to a good spot where I could just sit and watch the tower. It was high enough that I could see into the building but hidden enough not to get caught.

I slipped on my mask, covering the lower half of my face, leaving just my eyes and forehead exposed. It had been a slow night so far. The most interesting thing I had seen was Tony Stark trying on a new suit. Thankfully my powers gave me the ability to look through spaces without ever entering or disturbing them. But then the gleam caught my eyes. Silver danced in my grey pupils.

The base was quiet, the few windows covered in the white powder. I felt odd, something was happening, but I don't know what. I couldn't find Alek anywhere. Suddenly I was yanked around and slammed against the wall. I made no reaction and quickly went to regain power of the situation. But my opponent was stronger. There's only one person I have yet to beat.

The Winter Soldier's hand clamped against my mouth, but his eyes were no longer dull. "Adalee, listen to me carefully. This is place is not what you've thought it to be. They've lied to you. They killed your parents, they kidnapped you. I kidnapped you." He took a pause and looked around. I could feel the otter shock rake my body. But I was powerless against the Winter Soldier. Even with my advancements, I could never beat him. But this doesn't seem like him. My curiosity took priority over my training. "You can't trust him; you can't trust anybody. You can never tell them I told you or they will do the same thing to you." His hand loosened on mouth.

"Soldat, you're making no sense. Who can I not trust? What will they do?"

"Anyone, you cannot trust anyone. Or they will destroy you. What's rule number two Malysh?"

"Trust no one."

I wish I knew who he was saying I couldn't trust. I never saw him again after that, I had no idea he had become an Avenger. They said he was dead. He was super close with me. Even on the days he seemed duller than normal. Sometimes closer than Alek.

I decided that I had enough snooping tonight and was ready for bed. It was a school night after all. I begin to create steps out of nothing and throw myself onto the roofs of buildings. At least until the hair on my arms stood and my body begin to feel strained. Looking around became 2nd nature but whoever is falling me had made it their first. I don't know how long it took me to notice.

"Hey Ada! Did you finish your science homework?" I felt like smashing my head against the locker. Storing my books in the locker and turning to Peter I couldn't decide between puppy dog eyes or just look annoyed.

Sad eyes it is, "Noooo, it stresses me out. I don't understand why I need to learn the average acceleration!" I slammed my locker shut and threw my head on Peters chest and groaned.

"Oh, come on Addy, I told you to call me if you needed help." Peters arm rubbed my shoulder, I leaned up to notice and the smile he held on his face. Gah, when did this boy become so attractive. No- stop Adalee you're not here to get a boyfriend.

"Well... help me now! We have 20 minutes before class starts and Ned is in his robotics meetings. Please Peter." But there is no reason not to enjoy our time together. We are friends!

"Alright Ada but let do it in first period so we don't have to rush to class. Come one." Peter guided me to English class.

After Peter tried to hopeless explain science to me, class started, and my day took the long toll.
