3 Days till the end

the sunlight shines over the window marking the beginning of another day. axel opens his eyes to sew the familiar view of his decayed ceiling. he gets up with an empty mind and his muscle memory works on it's own making him grab the cigarettes pack next to his bed. he gets one cig and light it up. it's something that he could never have imagined to do couple years ago. he used to look on smokers with disgust and spite but now he can't get on with his day without getting his nicotine fix. it's something that he doesn't necessarily love but needs to move on with his day. he gets up from the bed and walks downstairs filling the house with the smoke strong smell. looks up on the mirror to see the person who he hates the most. his eye bags have gotten more clear and bigger but he doesn't have the will to care about it anymore. on fact he appears to be empty and careless about anything. most of what he does throughout the day is a desperate and failed attempt to fit in with this distorted world he gets on with everything and steps out of his little apartment to have another meaningless day at school.

he walks down the same old hallway he knows it like the back of his hand. enters the class with quiet steps while his eyes are only focused on his seat. not because he's afraid of anyone but because he doesn't see any meaning to looking at what surrounds him anymore. sits on his seat while not knowing what class is this. although it doesn't really matter because none of the teachers order him to do anything. they gave up on him long ago just like everyone else. it's the same day everyday. students go to their schools and employers to thier companies. a never ending meaningless cycle yet no one wants to break it and if you do. you will be crossed out of this system and punished for your attempt to live by your own rules. the time goes by in vain as it passes by with loosing focus and scrolling through your phone in secret. the class is over and it's launch break. instead of eating with friends while sharing your day activities or gossiping about ppl. he finds himself sitting alone in. a corner with a small sandwich and a bottle of cola. he doesn't have much appetite for food even. suddenly a group of 3 students come to his side. they are just his group of idiots that he hangs with and cause trouble for others thinking that they are the center of this universe. they agree to rob a small store nearby. it's sam idea because he thinks he can do it and he always acts like the second right hand to alex. they try to sneak in through the store acting like customers. it was the middle of the day at a summer afternoon. calm and empty. a normal day for everyone or at least that's what people think. while the other two dudes guard the store to prevent anyone from entering. sam suddenly scream at the owner and tell him to open give him all the money he got. axel stood in shock because this wasn't the plan at all. they agreed to only stealing couple of things while the owner wasn't looking. he rushes to stop sam but he suddenly stops when he see a glance of a gun in sam hand that he pulled from his bag. sam points the gun at the owner while axel tries to calm things down.

axel: what the hell are you doing sam this was not the plan we just need a few things and we're leaving.

sam:  you've always been the leader here what's gotten into you. didn't you say that you don't care about anything no more

axel:  i didn't mean it like this you've gone too far give me the gun.

sam: you're not the same person that i have known.

axel rushes to try and take the gun of sams hand and they start fighting over. taking advantage of this situation the owner pulls his gun out of the table and points it at them yelling at them.

owner:  both of you don't move. any other move and I'll shoot you. put the gun down and leave before i kill you both.

the man yells with all his voice but the sweat on his face and the look of his shaky hands can assure that he had never pulled a trigger before. especially at kids.

sam:  shut up old man don't try and act tough

axel: just give me the gun!!

while the whole store is in an intense atmosphere suddenly the backdoor opens up and a little girl walks off. she's the owner daughter.

owner:  back off lisa go back to your mom

sam punches axel and knocks him on the ground and points the gun at his daughter. the hesitation is clear on his face but he wants to make the owner give up.

sam: put down your gun before i shoot her.

the owner puts his gun down and lift his hands

owner:  please just take the money and leave. anything but my daughter. just leave us alone i beg you.

sam: fine i don't care about none of you just get the money out

suddenly a loud voice comes from outside. it's the police. someone was passing by and saw the whole thing and called them. sam gets soo stressed and starts threatening

sam:  don't fucking move or illegal shoot her

police: put the gun down and and get down on your knees.

axel wakes up after he got knocked down and he see the state of chaos that everyone in. he see sam pointing the gun at the little girl and he jumps on sam trying to stop him

sam and alex fight again on the ground and the police officers take this chance to rush and arrest them both

while everyone is in panic a sudden loud sound of a gun being fired up and a bullet releasing from the gun make them all freeze in a matter of second

the owner opens his eyes to see all of them in utter shock but he can't see who is bleeding till he looks on his side to see his little daughter on the ground with a bullet in her chest. he can't believe his eyes. he rushes to her yelling and begging for help.

owner: lisa dear stay up with me you're gonna be ok just don't close your eyes pls. anyone please help me.

his crying voice fills the room while the police rushing to jump on sam and axel. but in a matter of meer seconds.

sam in utter disbelief:  i didn't do it. it's not me. it's your fault. it's all your fault. and with his shaking hand he fires up another bullet that crosses axel stomach and straight into his liver. axel gets on the ground. his eyes are barley opened and the last view he could see before dying was the face of his friend crying and pointing a gun at his head and shooting himself.

as axel is dying he remembers all his memories throughout the year from he was a child to a grown up teen. filled with guilt and blame. hatred and disgust for the person who had he become. and before saying goodbye for the last time to this world he hears a strange voice saying 

" do you want to see this world burning?'
