James was surprised when he heard a knock on the door of his house. It wasn't very common when someone came to his house without notice. With a frown he opened the door to find no one there. Confused, he peered out the door and glanced around. Not finding anything, he began to shut to door, only to notice a small gift-wrapped box on the ground in front of him.
James' eyebrows furrowed. He leaned down to pick up the small box, slightly concerned to what might be inside. It was wrapped in dark blue wrapping paper and had a small light blue bow wrapped around it neatly, like the person took their time to perfect it.
James glanced around his neighborhood more, not finding anything out of the ordinary. Finding the package un-ordinary, James closed his door and softly tugged at the bow. It slipped off easily and he continued to tear the paper off, whilst traversing to the kitchen, finding a medium sized box wrapped up. James opened it carefully, finding a pack of CD's in a container.
James, by now, was thoroughly confused. Who would send him CD's? He picked the container up and set it on the kitchen table, peering in the box again to find a small folded up paper. He quickly unfolded the paper and skimmed his eyes over the sloppy lettering.
dear james,
my names, well, none of your concern. anyways, the cd's that came with the package are very important, so don't break them. i know how you get. but each disk is very important and you'll see why. so basically, these are sort of like mixtape's. i made each on based on emotion and struggles i guess.
the disks are labeled so, lets say you are angry, you can pick up the cd that is labeled as so. i made a list of songs for each mood that you might face through your life, and these are the songs that helped me, so i thought i'd share them with you.
now, i could of obviously gave this to you in person, but whats the fun in that? to be honest, i really like you james, and i hate when you get depressed or angry, so i wanted to help. maybe at some point i'll take credit for this, but for now, i hope you enjoy the music.
i love you. remember to use these and i hope they help.
James was defiantly perturbed by the sudden gift, but nonetheless thankful. And he was surprised by the sudden love he was given. They like me? James thought of all the people that he knew, but none seemed to be the type to do this. He wished he knew who gave it to him, then he would be able to show his gratitude more. But for now, he guessed he would show it through listening to them when needed.
