Taeron's POV

It was early morning when I woke, the room still dim from the soft light creeping through the curtains. The first thing I felt was her warmth, Saera nestled close, her head resting on my shoulder. I couldn't help but smile. Her nose was pressed against my neck, her breath warm and steady against my skin.

I glanced down at her hand, resting on my chest. Gently, I lifted it, pressing a soft kiss to her fingers before placing it over my heart, as if she could feel how much it was beating for her. She stirred slightly, shifting her head and burying her face deeper into my neck. The tickle of her breath made me chuckle quietly.

For a moment, I thought about waking her, but the sight of her so peaceful, so content in my arms, made me decide against it. Instead, I let my eyes close again, holding her closer as the world outside slowly woke up. We stayed like that for a while longer, wrapped up in each other, the rest of the world forgotten.

Saera's POV

I woke up to the sound of birds chirping from the balcony, their melody pulling me from sleep. Slowly, I opened my eyes, and the first thing I saw was Taeron's face, only an inch away from mine. For a second, I thought it was a dream-he looked so peaceful, his usual guarded expression softened in sleep. I couldn't help but admire him for a minute, taking in the curve of his jaw, the way his hair fell slightly over his forehead.

But then reality crashed over me. My eyes widened in shock as I realized the position we were in-me practically draped over him, his arms wrapped around me as if we'd always been like this. Heat rose to my face as I thought, *Bloody hells, how did I fall asleep like this?*

Carefully, I tried to slip out of his hold without waking him, sitting up on the edge of the bed, my heart racing. I ran a hand through my hair, massaging my scalp, still half-dazed. Things only got worse when my eyes fell on the breakfast tray sitting on the table. *Great,* I thought, *someone saw us like this.* The embarrassment washed over me in waves.

"Fuck," I muttered under my breath, feeling the weight of the situation sinking in.

A low voice responded, far too amused. "An interesting way to say 'good morning,' my Lady."

I turned to see Taeron wide awake, grinning at me like he had won some unspoken game. That devilish grin made my face burn even more.

"Good morning," I said, narrowing my eyes at him. "But you're too evil for your own good, my Prince."

He raised an eyebrow, still grinning, but I continued before he could say anything else. "Anyway, it was completely inappropriate for me to sleep here," I added, rolling my eyes as I tried to regain some sense of composure. Though, the teasing look on his face wasn't helping.
With a sudden and sharp motion i was under him as he was hovering over me , our noses touching and his hands pinning mine so i cant move. The distance between us was barely an inch, our noses almost brushing. My heart pounded in my chest, the sudden shift leaving me breathless.

"Says the one who was sound asleep in my arms just a moment ago," he murmured, his voice low and husky. His gaze dropped to my lips, making the air between us feel even thicker. "Don't pretend you didn't enjoy it, Princess. That was the best sleep I've ever had."

"You..." I tried to protest, but my voice faltered. I was completely caught off guard by the intensity of his stare, his closeness.

"Also," he continued, his lips curving into a smirk, "I don't give a single fuck about what people think about us. Luckily, Princess, we are to be wed soon. And right now, you are my main priority."

I think I forgot how to breathe. Not a single cell in my body moved as i was paralysed by his words, butterflies erupting in my stomach. The way he looked at me, the way his body was so close to mine, it was like the rest of the world faded away.
