Blair's mind was still reeling from the conversation she'd had with her mentor. The enormity of the decision they were both grappling with, the implications of Voldemort's plan, it was all too much to process. She hadn't expected any of this when she'd joined the Dark Lord's ranks. She had always known that serving Voldemort would require sacrifices, but this... this was beyond anything she had ever imagined.

As they stood in the dimly lit corridor, away from prying eyes and ears, Blair's mentor seemed to struggle with something. He had always been composed, his emotions carefully hidden behind the mask he never removed. But now, there was a tension in his posture, a hesitation that was so unlike him.

"Blair," he began, his voice steady but laced with an undercurrent of uncertainty. "There's... something else you need to know."

Blair looked up at him, her heart thudding in her chest. She had always trusted him, even when he had been nothing more than a shadowy figure guiding her down the path of the Dark Arts. But now, there was something different in the way he spoke, something that made her feel uneasy.

"What is it?" she asked softly, her eyes searching his masked face for any hint of what was to come.

He took a deep breath, his hand tightening around hers. "Voldemort has... made another decision regarding us. He wants us to marry."

For a moment, Blair could only stare at him, her mind struggling to process his words. Marry? The idea was so far from anything she had ever considered, so far from anything she had imagined would be required of her. She felt a wave of nervousness and fear wash over her, and she had to fight to keep her emotions in check.

"Marry?" she repeated, her voice barely above a whisper.

Her mentor nodded, his hand still holding hers tightly. "Yes. He believes it is necessary for his plan to succeed. He believes that our union will create a power strong enough to defeat Potter and Dumbledore once and for all."

Blair's breath caught in her throat, and she felt a surge of panic rising within her. This was all happening too fast, too suddenly. She hadn't even had time to fully come to terms with the idea of bearing a child for Voldemort's cause, and now she was being told she had to marry her mentor—someone she still knew so little about.

She looked up at him, her eyes wide with a mixture of fear and uncertainty. "But... I don't know anything about you. How can I marry you when I don't even know your name? I don't even know what you look like."

He sighed, his grip on her hand tightening slightly. "I know, Blair. I know this is difficult. But we don't have a choice. We have to follow the Dark Lord's orders."

Blair shook her head, her mind racing. "If I'm going to give up so much of my personal life for Voldemort, I want to do it properly. I want to... I want to deepen our connection. I want us to take our time. I want you to propose to me properly, in our own time, without any rush."

Her mentor looked at her, a flicker of surprise in his eyes. He had expected her to be reluctant, perhaps even resistant to the idea of marriage, but her request was something entirely different. It was as if she was trying to find some semblance of control in a situation that was spiraling out of her hands.

"Blair..." he began, but she cut him off, her voice trembling slightly.

"I know this isn't what you wanted either," she said, her eyes pleading with him. "But if we're going to do this, I want it to mean something. I want it to be real, not just something we're doing because we have to. Please... will you propose to me properly? Will you give me that, at least?"

He stared at her for a long moment, his emotions swirling beneath the surface. He could see the desperation in her eyes, the need to make sense of this impossible situation. And in that moment, he realised that she was right. If they were going to be bound together by this dark and twisted plan, they needed to find a way to make it their own, to find some meaning in it beyond just Voldemort's orders.
