Everyone cheered, meanwhile you clapped your hands with a nervous grin. Most people your age started drinking the minute they got to university, however, you had strayed away from it due to schoolwork. It's not that you were scared of it, you just hadn't seen the hype around it.
"C'mon Y/n! Cheers!"
"Oh uhh, I don't drink–"
"C'mon~!"Your peers started booing, but it was all in good fun. You only shook your head, smiling and laughing at their disappointment. Of course, you had planned to stay sober... but...
"Here, just take this one shot! It'll loosen you up!", a girl from your English class held the glass to your lips.
"O–Oh! No thanks!", you try to decline, "I–ACK!"
The liquid slipped into your mouth, instantly burning your throat as you swallowed. Kaede handed you a soda to wash it down, worried about your reaction.
"Shit Y/n!", she scowled back at your classmate, "What the hell Fujimoto?! She wasn't ready–"
"Th–that wasn't half bad..."
You take a whiff of the glass, the drink not as strong as the one Sakura offered you earlier. Your peers stare back at you in surprise as you pour yourself another glass, downing it one go.
"Huh... I actually kind of like it...", you mumble to yourself, just loud enough for them to hear.
Everyone cheered, opting for another shot in celebration of you drinking. You joined them in their festivities, although you found out rather quickly how much of a lightweight you were. And even worse, you sure talked a lot once you were tipsy.
"You participated in the Blue Lock program?!"
"Mhm!"You stood on the table, swaying back and forth with a cup in hand. Everyone gathered around, listening in awe at your story.
"It was a living hell actuallY!", you wave the cup around, "That STUPID threak... What wuz his name 'gain...? Ego!", you jump when you remember, almost falling off the table, "Yeah he uhh.... He's annoying... But veryone else wuz cool!"
The people around you laugh, well, almost everyone. Kaede stares wide-eyed at the news you just dropped, having been kept in the dark almost this past year. Sakura stands next to her with a cringe expression, too tipsy herself to try and put a stop to this.
"Y–Y/n was in Blue Lock?", Kaede looks agasp, shaking Sakura's shoulders, "She was in Blue Lock?! You mean to tell me she was locked in with a bunch of hotties and I didn't know?!"
"Jeez relax, you're spitting everywhere...", Sakura wipes her face clean, "And yeah... She was in it... It's mostly the reason she was accepted into the university, and why she didn't have to pay for anything when enrolling"
The two girls look back at you, who was now apparently telling a bit more personal stuff.
"Yeahso Isagi–"
"You know Yoichi Isagi?!"
"Uh-huh! I'know all of em!"Some of them look in awe, while others seem a bit skeptical of your stories now.
"Oh yeah? Next you're gonna tell us you're dating one of them, right?"
You nearly stop in your tracks, Hayami making sure you don't slip and hit your head. You reach into your pocket sluggishly, the others wondering what you're up to. Sakura on the other hand is afraid you'll break down and start crying.
"I am actually! Here, I'll prove it!"
Very sloppily, you type something into your phone, your friends now wondering what you're up to. Sakura was the most confused out of everyone there. Chigiri was no longer in your life, having no contact with you these last three years. Was the alcohol starting to take a toll on your memory?
