my dear friend(chigiri x reader)

You knew that this match was gonna be a challenge for them, and yet, you were still surprised by the other team's abilities.

"Incredible! Sae Itoshi scores a goal from his less than ideal position on the field! He scores the first goal for the U-20 team!"

The crowd was going wild over Sae, meanwhile, you were dead silent. It'd been awhile since you'd seen Sae played, and he had definitely gotten better since the last time you saw him.

"Huh... what they practiced doesn't seem to be working Ego... what should we do?", Anri fidgeted with her pen.

"Nothing"

Anri scowled, "What do you mean nothing?! We're just gonna let them destroy our team?"

Ego groaned, turning to you, "Y/n. What do you think?"

Taking your eyes off the field, you glare at him, "What exactly are you asking me here?"

"What do you think we should do? Do you have a plan?"

Of course you didn't have a plan. You weren't that much of an expert when it came to soccer. Everything you knew about it had come from your brothers and Chigiri. The problem they were facing was obvious though.

The U-20 has a killer defense, and having Sae on their team just gives them an even bigger advantage when it comes to counter attacks. They were basically handed victory on a gold platter...

"It's not like we can do much... Sae isn't gonna make this easy on them, but I'm sure they'll think of something"

Anri frowned, "So you're essentially saying we shouldn't do anything?"

You nod your head, "Umm... yes? The boys will pull through... I'm sure of it...", you grin cunningly.

Anri sighs, "I think the two of you are putting way too much trust into those boys..."

"Don't worry so much Anri... They've got this...", you grin, focusing back on the match.

"Itoshi Rin rushes forward with the ball and- What's this?! He's moving closer to the goal post!?"

For some reason, Rin positions himself at a weird angle, one that's less than ideal to shoot. The scene looks familiar though, your eyes wide when you realize.

Is he... trying to replicate Sae's goal?

Sure enough, he kicked the ball in with his left leg. The ball however didn't go in, instead, bouncing off the goal post.

Rin... what are you doing? Just play how you've always played... If he just took the shot beforehand, then he would have scored-

"What's this incredible ball control?!"

You could practically feel your eyes pop out of their sockets when you saw Nagi move the ball around with only his left foot, before bouncing it off the ground to make his shot.

"Incredible! The score is tied 1-1 due to Nagi Seishiro's amazing goal just now!"

The crowd seemed to love Nagi, repeatedly chanting his name as he sat on the ground with his fist pumped in the air. You couldn't contain your excitement, jumping out of your seat and screaming from the sidelines.

"Alright Nagi! Way to go!"

Nagi is tackled to the ground by Isagi and Chigiri, but acknowledges your cheers. He holds his hand out, a small smile on his face. You do the same thing back, almost like you're trying to give him high-five.

"Super badass Nagi!", Isagi grinned.

Chigiri nodded, looking in your direction, "Yeah... I'm a little jealous of your goal just now..."
