"You have to get out of here now, Falco." Your hand goes to his shoulder again. "Stray away from Marleyan's. The Paradis soldiers shouldn't shoot you if you're unarmed."
He nods and books it out of Liberio.
Reiner's shell feels like a metaphor for his mind. He is trapped from the outside world where the part of him that's resting seems to be dead.
"Aw."
When you see him, it's a pity. He looks gone, but you feel his pulse is still there. Titan powers are interesting. Maybe he'll wake up to the truth.
"Hey Rei," you start, rubbing his cold shoulders. "I have a confession for you."
Somehow you decided that now was the best time for truths.
"When I went to the Tybur's, they told me a truth that really messed me up... Everyone is safe and sound now. I could follow them, Magath would beg that I should, but I can't."
Her mind wanders if he's at any point conscious.
"My home is not concrete. Wherever you are, I feel safe. Wherever Magath is, I feel at home. They can destroy every town in existence, kill like I have, but as long as I have my people, I still would have my home.
"But, I need to fight and try my best to save our soldier's lives. Paradis soldiers aren't here to kill civilians, but they are here to kill my old friends. I can't let that happen. I've been to Paradis and I know who your friends are. If I can help it, I won't kill them."
Your hands slide down his body in an enigmatic way. You revel in that feeling, as if you would never get it again. If he were to die here, so much would be lost.
"I'm in love with you," you spit out quickly, your words picking up pace, "I need you in my life and I need you to fight. I-I know you hate when I'm harsh, but I promise if you don't fight with me, I will never forgive you."
Cupping his face, you kissed his forehead, a final attempt at getting his attention.
You were on your feet at a moment's notice. "Wish me luck."
When you left the shell, the War Hammer was swatting at a Scout like a fly. You scanned the area, looking for Scouts you didn't recognize.
Your hook locks into the brick building. Your gas goes off the same time your swords are deployed. A strange rage comes over you. It's too difficult to think, you only continued flying through the air with the strange gear.
At the sight of the first Scout, a trigger goes off. With sharp eye contact, you sliced his rib, sending him falling and in pain. Another followed closely behind, gun pointed at your head. You were on him before he could figure out when to pull the trigger.
An explosion was to your right, the blow sending you back and causing you to readjust. As long as the Ackermanns were far enough away, you could get along.
Still aribone, you followed to the right where another was throwing thunder spears into buildings. You hadn't stayed long enough to figure out their mechanics. It was possibly the biggest regret that he held to your heart.
You pierced him in the throat, dropping the blade and replacing it with a fresh one. Then, another over his shoulder. Then another near his hip. Then another. And another. And another.
All as equally as frightened as the last.
You pulled up to the top of a building, unaware of how much gas was left in the tank. You knocked the metal, once, twice, before looking up.
The cutting eyes of the Levi Squad stared back at you. All grouped together for some reason, all the same references of themselves those years ago.
Someone from a different squad pointed his gun at you. They saw all of the murder.
