Kimberly yelled at me, she's always been the party one out of all 4 of us. Always having so much energy.
-No Kim, I just want to be in my room, under the sheets reading a book. I don't wanna be out and about at some club! Plus you know I don't like blaring music on my ears at full volume.
I reply, it's true. I'm not really a clubbing person like Kim, it's not that I don't wanna go out with her, I do, I just don't exactly prefer the club, but of course, at the end of this, she is probably either going to blackmail me into going, or somehow convince.
You see, it's not that I'm anti-social, clubs and partying are just simply not my thing. And no I'm not looking for a fuck buddy at that club, or a one night, as mentioned, Kim or the rest are into that.
-Oh come on! You always say that, it's your birthday Rose! C'monn, just for tonight, Amara and Alessa already agreed, and don't come at me with the excuse that you have nothing to wear, because I have many dresses that I don't mind letting you wear, plus you could even find your special someone!
Oh.My.God. Is she serious? I had already told this girl I wasn't planning on dating, this girl is ridiculous.
When she saw my thinking face she added.
-Please, please pleaseeeeeeeee
And here comes the never-ending begging.
-Okay okay, I'll go, at what time tonight?
At this, Kim immediately started choosing a dress and telling me the time. 8 PM? That isn't bad, and it's not like I'll be there the whole night, maybe until 10-11? Not sure, but I'm definitely coming before midnight.
-I'm gonna call the girls! Let's all get ready, I'm telling them your going right now!
I give her a nod, and shortly she leaves the room, talking on the call, while I start to get ready. Kim chose a black dress, which was honestly pretty and I added a necklace and my outfit was done. Now was for my hair, I decided to leave it down, but I straightened it.

I quickly grabbed my phone and wallet and stuffed it with a few other essentials in a mini bag, but kept the phone in my hand and quickly called the group.
-Hey girls! Alright so, I'm ready, yall almost ready? I ask.
-Yes!
-Yep! I'm all set.
- Yeah I'm heading out right now!
I heard, through the other way of the phone. Okay so maybe they'll be here soon? I'm guessing.. Right?
-Alrightyy! So you guys will be here shortly no? I ask, some of my Spanish accent slipping in the sentence. Yes, I speak Spanish, I'm fluent, I learned from a young age, and from there, I basically speak Spanglish.
- Yeah, well be there soon. I hear Amara say.
-Got it see yall soon! I reply and hang up the call.
I quickly see a cab nearby, and raise my hand, giving the driver the instructions to the club.
Maybe, this is not really a bad idea, I'm 18 now, and I'm now legal to go in a club like this. Maybe I just have to be more social, clearly, the girls would love it if I got out of my room. I think I'm on a train of thought as the car suddenly stops. I zone back in and look out the window, I'm here.
I get out of the cab and pass him a $5 tip, and he drives away. As I stand outside the club, I notice all the colorful lights and the music I can hear from all the way where I am.
I go into the club and look around, there's girls that are practically naked on strip poles dancing on one side, and on the other side, there's a bar, with people drinking. Damn, heartbreak? On the middle of the place, there's a stage, with a few strip poles and there's a scene going on, a few girls with almost nothing on are dancing on the pole, and men are throwing bills at them, asking a million questions at once. As I'm watching, I feel a hand on my shoulder and see my friends greeting me.
The night was about to begin.
